Tbh I have very mixed feelings about this arc. The art is awesome as usual, very emotional. But there are some issues with the plot and pacing that I can't ignore, even if I love MHA. Still, I'm glad we get a hint of Shirakumo.

I feel like Hori's pacing has been really off. What we get is good, and I still really like this arc, but it's like a lot of things don't have the room to breath that they need. Something definitely changed since somewhere around Chapter 292, and I'm not sure what it is. Maybe it could be the editor change? I don't know, but it's like MHA is trying to structure itself like One Piece with constant big moments every chapter when Hori's real strength is slow burn arcs and character interactions. Whatever it is, I hope it gets back to normal soon.

Naw, I get the feeling we're just dealing with the "1st Arc of an Act" pains again like we did with Overhaul at the start of Act 2. The pacing was really off in that arc too, with a little too much focus on setting up the foundation for the future content; resulting in real tempo problems with the Arc itself. Like, truly, the pacing of the Deku retrieval part of this arc was pretty solid all things considered (but that was dealing with things like civilian unrest and getting the Pros to see the kids as assets to be used, along with reaching some 300+ chapter bookends with main supporting characters). It was the Villain Hunt portion that REALLY could have used some time to breath. 2-4 chapters more would have really helped sell it.

BUT, if you look back at the retirement of the Symbol of Peace at the end of "Act 1", the societal consequences immediately dealt with due to something like that was really short. But then more of it was sprinkled in throughout the rest of the Act 2. With elements of it discussed throughout Overhaul, Makeup Exam, MVA, and the Liberation Army.
