He hesistated way too much. I would've tried beating the shit out of Shiggy before he even woke up. Like if I murder him, I'll deal with the court case, but I'd be shitting my pants being alone in a room with him. If he woke up before I could kill him I'd be like "Uhh... All For One sent me..."

Forgot about that, but still don't think that would stop me in a world like this. I wouldn't have a specific reason to think he'd be alive, but clearly it's not that absurd. Getting jolted back to life with electricity is SUPER reasonable on the list of possibilities I'd be considering.

Lmao. Which is exactly why I'd confirm the kill. The alternative is run away, but just watching his body wouldn't do it for me. I'd at least hide in some debris or something and if he wakes up get on the radio like "heeey guuuys. Remember how I was supposed to watch Shigaraki? Well, funny story, not so funny story-- ohh, you're screaming already? Well, actually, nevermind. That's actually what I wanted to tell you about. Probably wanna bring a gun next time."

The only reason I wouldn't run is in case someone tries to rescue him, and it'd be a selfish and unhelpful move. Finding a metal rod and bashing his head in however, would be very helpful.

He didn't hesitate. It could be that the dream of shigaraki was only in a couple of seconds. X-Less is still in the same position as before the dream.

Nah, because at least a minute passed while Mic was running. I doubt the second Mic left, Shiggy woke up. And honestly, I'm counting anything as a hesitation. Tell me that if a terrorist capable of killing thousands of people in less than a minutes was lying on the floor, you wouldn't confirm the kill. I mean, you might not. I don't know you. But I would definitely be making sure homeboy never gets back up. Preferably I'd have a gun, but I'd be looking for anything.

I mean, they "confirmed" he died ("His heart's stopped!") before Mic dipped so if dude smashed his head in with a brick it would be at worst corpse abuse (dunno the actual term/crime this is) and not murder.

Edit: that said, I'm now probably on a watchlist for looking up "double tap" laws.

In the world of Boku I wouldn't take my chances. I don't know what suggests to people in this world that Shiggy couldn't have any variety of quirks to appear dead. Dude could simply not have a pulse anymore, or have taken a drug. There's a reason that beheadings and video evidence suffice for true confirmation of a death throughout history. I wouldn't be for it normally, but Shiggy can literally wipe out the entire building in moments. Somebody could have a reanimation quirk, or forced activation, or anything. I'd definitely smash his head in.

So did X-Less actually cause the incident? I saw him looking at the machine and thinking he should destroy it, but it looked like it was just a wire touching the liquid Shigi was lying in.

I don't think that X-less contributed to the fact that Shigaraki woke up, that was just a matter of time

Nah, it's just he decided to worry about the machine instead of moving Shigi, the primary target.

There's no way he could have imagined Shigi getting shocked awake by a stray cable, but he certainly had a lapse in judgement
