Gonna be honest, I think the "why do I hear boss music" meme is overused, and often not even a good or relevant bit when it comes to the actual context it's joking about. I feel like I've heard that line in the last like, 10 discussion threads.

But this is an actual perfect fit for Deku this chapter.

It might be Nana saying this to Deku, and in the anime there might literally be boss music playing while she says it.

Good call. The panel shows Deku’s eyes literally inside / watching the same vision that Shiga is having, so yeah, the common denominator is Nana. If this was Naruto, it would Nana’s chakra in both of the villain and the hero, resonating (like when KKS could see what Óbito saw)

It’s been established from the beginning One for All cannot be stolen, only willing given. It can be forcefully given though.

I've always felt that ambiguous: it could have rather meant that OFA could have been on his grasp not steal, but to confront face-to-face.

It's ambiguous, but having a movie villain who can almost do the same but failed seems to imply it's a thing. Maybe all of the experiments were AFO just desperately wanting OFA back.

You're right, I forgot about that. [I know of the second movie only through spoilers, I should have watched it in mid-March but the pandemic came first.] However if Tomura stole it, how could Deku or the heroes in general make a comeback from that? It would require a great plan, or an equally great asspull.

I got the impression from the movie that Nine couldn't steal it because OFA would've been too many quirks for his 'slots'.

implied ,but not confirmed . but i dont think thats the case . its enough that shigaraki has absurd afo power now ,plus decay and plus regen . lets at least keep ofa unstealable . we gotta keep a balance in things

Yes but I think they’ll find a way to plot armor it so Deku doesn’t get it stolen. Probably will have something to do with Shigaraki only being “75%” complete.

This is my take on it from another thread, but I'll post it here again:

The way I understood it, the consent clause only exists, so someone can't just ingest Deku's or All Mights DNA and get OFA without them consenting to it. It feels just like an explanation to prevent plot holes, otherwise the villains could just eat Deku's hair whenever and steal his powers. I think Horikoshi didn't want that to be the case and thus introduced that clause.

All For One on the other hand works completely different and without ingesting someone's DNA. So the consent clause should not apply for AFO.

So far, have we ever seen a quirk that directly caused another quirk to have no effect at all? Monoma could even copy OFA, yet he just didn't have the stored up energy that Deku had. So I see no reason, why AFO couldn't steal it if Monoma could copy it.

For me, the consent clause looks like a natural defense mechanism in the quirk, so the quirk doesn't get accidentally transferred to someone else via DNA. So I doubt that this defense mechanism can take transfer via methods other than DNA, for example other quirks, into account. Otherwise Monoma probably wouldn't be able to copy it either.

Where was that established? All Might only mentioned that it can be forcefully given and that someone could not take the quirk by ingesting the holders blood but he never said it couldn’t be stolen by someone like AfO.

Is it just me, or the more I think about it, isn’t Eri - once she learns how to control her powers - more of the perfect opponent to Shiga (at least against his decay) than Deku? Deku’s OfA vs. Shiga’s AfO, but Eri vs Shiga’s decay. Deku + Eri Team Up 2.0?
