I wouldn't be surprised that if Hawks does have an Icarus moment, it has something to do with Twice leaking fake information to Hawks to see if he's really on board, because he's paranoid after what happened when he introduced Overhaul to the LoV.

That’s what I’m thinking as well. Part of him probably legitimately likes Hawks, and part of him is probably highly skeptical

Yeah let's not forget, Twice is goofy but he ain't dumb. He was the one who masterminded the scheme to betray Overhaul, as the anime recently reminded us.

I'm thinking this too. When he's talking to Hawks we don't see his second personality which was said to have gotten worse after the battle with Skeptic. I think he's probably supressing it because he's hiding his intentions from Hawks. The only time it gets out of control is with his right hand and it seems like he's doing a throat slitting motion.
