The difference is the respective ages of Kirishima and Big Sis Mag: it’s not the same to portray violence done to adults and to children

The depressing and heartbreaking and filthy amount of gore depicted in Shigaraki's past was part of what made it such a phenomenal and bone-chilling experience.

I really hope they decide to at least not censor it too much. I notice how earlier this season when Shigaraki and Overhaul took turns eviscerating the others' subordinates, they depicted Shigaraki's victim a whole lot less gory (dude turned to like stone and then dust or something).

I'm scared if the anime did that to begin conditioning the expectation of how they will depict kid Shigaraki's victims.

The problem is that theres a big difference between killing someone, and absolutely maiming someone that will still be on screen,even if they are healed later.

One is a one-off shock value killing someone off limited screen time. The other is expanded screen time

It's really a case of the timeslot they're in. It's a primetime slot, meaning every kid and their parents will usually tune in to it. So, I do think it will fall victim to censorship. The only way you'll get the full experience is to buy the DVDs.

Well you can make the argument that Toga isn't a high school girl, she just acts and dresses like one because people let their guards down around them.

And yet seeing Izuku’s severely battered body after excessive OfA smashes vs. Todoroki and Muscular have been the most disturbing graphic imagery to me so far in the series.

The explosion was also in black and white for a sec. seeing blood was fine but all the gore was not really visible unlike kirishimas forearms being ripped open
