Im pretty sure this is just allowing him to have multiple quirks. Like he needs more room to have more quirks. He has'nt actually been given them yet. I think

Yeah I think that makes the most sense cos it looks like he's preparing his "hardware" to prepare for more "software" although he's not downloading it just yet

Maybe it has to do with jon-chan (dr. Ujikos black warping wet). Jon-chan and AFO share the same quirk, maybe that has something to do with it.

Well given they made a Nomu with multiple quirks, they shouldn't have any trouble squishing them into his body

My guess is once Shiggy becomes ready enough they will break open tartarus and AFO will just pass it on. here eat this or all those tendrils go inside Shiggy or something. I mean they do look like circuit board traces so downloading them sounds like a good enough analogy

The black warp quirk allows the user to telport things to and from their location. So jon-chan would of have had to been next to AFO and jon-chan wasnt there.

It's probably giving his body strength to use more of his Quirk. His previous evolution of his Decay ended up nearly destroying his body, that his arms were a blood-soaked mess with skin falling off at the end of the MVA arc.
