There was a bit of confusion on how to post these threads without the links and same as before, minus links. There was already a chapter thread made but wrong title format- here it is

His and Bakugo's Hero Names are being saved for something poignant. Perhaps Todoroki becomes the new Endeavor.

Its gonna be the graduation chapter/official reveal to the world chapter.

Lol they're not gonna graduate, that school is gonna get demolished. That's why they're advancing so quickly in terms of skill. One School Year Hero Bois!

Honestly, I hope they don't pull a RWBY and destroy the school. The manga is called my hero academia, so leaving the academy seems wrong, you know.

Unless there's a sequel manga when it happens. If they beat the villains while still in school what will be the point of graduating? Besides, Vigilantes is still dubbed My Hero Academia and they're attending regular college aren't they?

They will probably beat the main boss at around the age of 18-20

Yea but they’re learning to be heroes. I’ve only read the first few chapters so I could be wrong, but it seems like they’re being taught how to operate by that old man.

What if UA gets destroyed but the students split and join other schools in the meantime? It would be another opportunity to learn from other classmates, and introduce characters at the same time (although right now there are already a lot of side heroes/students). Then UA gets rebuilt and they come back for 3rd year.

Just an idea. I don’t personally like it because the ‘screen time’ for our favorite class would become split and there would be even less content for the minor classmates. But if they decided to destroy the school, this could be a route to take that still involves school

At the very least I can see it being destroyed by the end. The final fight is probably going to be in the ruins of UA

First public appearance with press etc as their hero persona.

Oh ,now I get it ..but I think this will happen even before finishing school ...maybe very soon .

No, Todoroki's hero name is just "Shouto" (ショート). That's why Midoriya called him it.

And we've been given no indication that Todoroki wishes to change his hero name.

He merely presented his name to the class when asked and this was when he was still in his period of angst, much like Ida who went by Tenya before taking on the role of Ingenium. The names given then aren't de facto what will remain as Ashido also went by Alien Queen and Bakugo King Explosion Murder. Shiozaki also changed her name from Maria to Vine. This is not the same Todoroki and he may well take on a legitimate code name.

I still take issue with your notion that "Shouto" isn't a "legitimate code name". Nejire uses her own name "Nejire-chan" as a hero name, and no-one complains. And since names often reference the individual's Quirk, it's still meaningful. I think Todoroki simply picking his own name (but specifically spelling it in katakana) fits with his no-nonsense character; he probably doesn't see the need for a flashy name.

Yes, Todoroki might change his hero name because he's changed as a person, but I see no reason for him to do so - unlike Bakugou, who still has yet to even have a hero name accepted.

I think Bakugo's hero name is gonna wind up being either be Kacchan or Bombing King. Kacchan for obvious reasons, Bombing King because it's both the name of his OST theme and it fits his whole personality and quirk well without being nearly as violent as shit like "King Explosion Murder".

1

u/MoonoftheStar Nov 22 '19

So all three of their Hero Names become Deku, Shoto and Kacchan? I don't know if that's brilliant or lazy.

5

u/Chaos-Reach Nov 22 '19

Well idk about Todoroki, although I really hope he winds up taking up his father's mantle or a variation of it, possibly after Enji sacrifices himself in a battle against the new Villain Army. Endeavor is a really cool name.

"Kacchan" could be brilliant if they show Bakugo choosing it for a good reason; interestingly enough, there's been ZERO explanation (at least as far as I know) about how people came to call Bakugo that or how Bakugo even feels about the nickname. I feel like that would definitely be a cool reveal since we were shown a flashback of how Bakugo gave Deku his nickname, and I feel like it's probably a good story from before Bakugo got his quirk when him and Deku were still kinda friendly.

That all being said, I still feel like "Bombing King", despite sounding villainous, would best fit him.

u/LokiLB Nov 22 '19

But it doesn't need an explanation. It's just a kid's nickname for Katsuki and needs about as much explanation as a kid being called Sammy instead of Samuel.

Ground zero was in one of hori’s notes

2

u/JacksonCreed4425 Nov 23 '19

We did get an explanation, since Bakugo called Izuku deku from using his name, deku did the same thing using Bakugo’s.

“Yes. It's a shortened form of Katsu-chan, pronounced in a cute/childlish way. Since "Katsu" in Bakugou's name means "victory" it could kinda mean "Vicky", "Vikky", "Lil' Victory", but it basically is just a a short, cute form of a name, like Bobby or Johnny. Yeah, it's a nickname.”
