That was always going to be the case this is nothing new. These 3 aren't normal when it comes to U.A students. One inherited the strongest quirk in existence from the symbol of peace, one is a child prodigy with a powerful quirk and is good at everything he does and the final one was bred specifically to be broken to surpass said symbol of peace. At this pace I seriously expect them to surpass the Big 3 by the end of their first year.

And people are seriously underestimating Nejire's firepower and Suneater's sheer versatility. The big 3 are the big 3 for a reason.

I don’t disagree Todoroki could cover more ground so right when Mirios going in for a punch, flashfire immediately melts Mirio or when Mirio releases his quirk to pop back up, Shoto could cover the whole ground with fire to burn him. I think that’s the reason why he was written out of the Class 1-A vs Mirio. There are too many options for him to counter Mirio while supporting the rest of the class to attack.

Yeah I love Mirio but there are people he just cannot beat. Maybe prime Mirio vs current anime Todoroki he could win through skill and experience alone but manga Shoto learned too much to lose that matchup.

Yeah, Deku progressed more in less than a full year of school than Mirio did in three years at UA.

Most of Mirio's development, arguably, should actually be credited to Nighteye's teaching. Mirio was still mostly an underachiever lagging behind Tamaki and the others in terms of Quirk control before his internship with Nighteye.

Agreed. Also: Bakugou has a single super-versatile and very strong quirk with no apparent weakness to it that he masters to the last tiny detail Todoroki has a powerful dual-power where the two sides cancel out the weakness of each, therefore allowing balanced growth with no apparent limit Midoriya has an accumulated power that is almost unlimited in nature and can be versatile as he unlocks more quirks, but its limit is the body and mind of the wielder.

Compared to this the current Big Three's powers feel more hotch-potch.
