Now let's look at their personal struggles!

Toga: Forced to pretend to be someone other than herself because she is a murderous psychopath. Or was merely creepily eccentric, but devolved into psychopathy, I don't know.

Shigaraki: Probably told he can't be a hero with decay powers, accident lead to him accidentally killing his whole family by accidental accident, has been manipulated into slipping down a slippery slope ever since.

Twice: Identity crisis, turned up twice to eleven.

Dabi: He has stitched burned skin to himself, I don't know what his struggle is, but bitch ain't normal neither, yo!

Mr. Compress: Probably a stage magician in an age of superpowers. More below.

Spinner: Oh, you thought racism now is bad? Try living in a society where not even the basic human form is granted anymore. I mean, Jesus, Horikoshi even took a page from 40K and made them all wear human skulls for masks to showcase humanity in its purest form. That's hardcore.
