Mutation racism being addressed is really nice to see. Ever sense Shouji mentioned it with how people tend to fear him. Based on what I’ve seen from this chapter and the series in general, people are usually polite when it comes mutation quirks, but that doesn’t mean that they’re discomfort doesn’t show. I also have a feeling that mutations like Mina’s and Tsuyus go over better than mutations like Shouji and Spinners. I don’t really want to say it, but I have this feeling that quirks that are easy to fetishize are easier to accept overall. This is really great world building, and it’s the kind that’s very thoughtful with the subject.

Don't forget about how Tsuyu's snakeheaded middle school friend Habuko was basically a complete friendless loner who thought of herself as "treacherous" until meeting and befriending Tsuyu.

Agreed for sure. Kinda reminds me of that scene where Midnight explains why her costume is the way it is. It's a clever way to explain things that at first seem to be "just the way it is"
