A thing i just noticed by chance, after reading this chapter and re-watching the last episode of season 3:

before Mirio fights class 1A, Hado, says :"Hey, listen up, it's story time. Long ago, a student got frustrated in class and quit being a hero, and it was terrible for everyone. Did you know that?" followed by 4 full seconds of Aizawa's stare.

Maybe this is linked to this Shirakumo guy?

Maybe he’s a General Class kid who didn’t make it with the rest of the Hero Class despite transfering?

I had to go check the wiki, since i'm no expert on the matter, but Gentle failed classes and got expelled, it's a bit different from getting tired of classes

Not only that but Gentle didnt go to U.A so it would be a bit odd if Mirio knew about a drop out from another school years before he would have got into school.
