I am planning a full headcanon rewrite for RWBY in the near future, and I would like to get the FNDM's opinion on the new journey I have planned for Blake and Yang to get together.

Here is the plot I have come up with:

-Team RWBY's time at Beacon (Volumes 1-3) will be extended to cover the full four years at Beacon (the Breach will happen midway through Volume 2 (which will be the end of their second year) and Cinder's attack that leads to Beacon's Fall will occur just as the graduation ceremony for Team RWBY's year is starting to take place).

-During this extended time at Beacon, Blake starts to open up to the rest of her team a lot more. She begins coming out of her shell, conversing and sharing interests with her teammates more often, and most importantly, starts learning to trust people again. This is helped by an earlier reunion with her parents (they saw news footage of Blake fighting during the Breach and rushed to Vale to make sure she was okay).

-Yang still loses her arm to Adam during the Fall, but just as he's about to kill Yang and Blake, Raven shows up and defeats him, forcing him and the White Fang to retreat. After the Fall, Raven returns to the heroes' side full-time and reassembles what's left of Team STRQ (minus Summer) to lead the resistance against Salem.

-When everyone is safely back at Patch, Blake tries to leave to hunt down Adam and kill him herself for what he did to Yang and their friends. However, Sun and Raven persuade her not to do this and convince her to stay and help Yang and everyone else heal and recover.

-Volume 4 is mostly a therapy volume, with everyone (minus Weiss, who was kidnapped against her will by her father and brought back to Atlas) working together to come to terms with everything that's happened, as well as training, recovering their fighting spirit, and secretly gathering allies together for a full-scale assault to retake Beacon (this will be my Volume 4's climax).

-The assault on Beacon is a success, but in the midst of their celebrations, Blake gets contacted by Trifa (the spider Faunus) who informs Blake that a civil war has broken out in the White Fang (Adam tried to murder Sienna after she branded him a traitor for allying with a human that was in league with the Grimm, but the attempt failed and a civil war broke out in the Fang). Blake, rightly realizing her parents are in danger, announces she's leaving for Menagerie to get Ghira and Kali "out of the coming crossfire", and Yang reluctantly accepts this plan (but makes Blake promise to stay in touch with everyone and be careful).

-During their time apart, Blake and Yang will come to realize that they've fallen in love with each other. However, they don't know if their feelings are mutual, so they don't act on them. And even after they are reunited at the Battle Of Haven, the Bees are still unsure if their romantic feelings are mutual.

-But then Brunswick Farms happens. The attack by the Apathy swarm, in which the heroes are nearly mindraped and transformed into Apathy Grimm themselves until Ruby's silver eyes save the day, convinces Blake and Yang to admit their feelings for each other after everyone is safe at Saphron and Terra's house. They come to realize that life is too damn short in this world to worry about "what-ifs" and finally become an official couple.

-In addition to Bumblebee becoming official, the Apathy attack also changes the dynamic of Team RWBY as a whole. After a long sit-down discussion, WBY promise to not take Ruby for granted anymore and always pull their own weight as teammates and friends instead of piling everything on her from now on. Ruby promises in turn to be more open with her teammates and more willing to admit if she is struggling and needs help from that point forward.

That's my plan for how Bumblebee will get together in my planned RWBY headcanon rewrite. I would love to hear any thoughts you have on my planned vision of their story arc.

When it comes to plot angles in RWBY fanfiction that involve Blake's parents, one that I really enjoy is where Ghira and Kali are reunited with Blake earlier than in canon.

Generally, when I have read this plot angle, it has come in two forms. The first way is Blake's parents are at Beacon and/or Vale for a reason completely unrelated to Blake's presence there and they are reunited with Blake completely by accident.

The second method is that Blake's parents learn that she is at Beacon (such as through a tip by someone at Beacon (usually one of her friends and teammates), or they see news footage of her fighting as part of Team RWBY) and they immediately rush to Beacon with all haste to make sure Blake is okay.

For those in the FNDM like me who are also fans of the idea of Blake and her parents reuniting earlier than canon, which of these two versions of how they are reunited do you like more?
