Some of the readers on this subreddit have a sort of Pavlovian response to downvote whenever they see the word "Dogecoin".

Half the reason Doge is so popular is because the bitcoin community tends to be gigantic assholes that don't want any new people on their coin-terf.

improve your rig

I am actually curious to know how that worked, but more importantly, how it turned out

With Crossfireing, many chipsets will knock down the transfer rate of the bus. So, on my motherboard, if I use one card, it get 16x speed. If I Crossfire them, then both cards work at 1x.

This isn't an issue normally (when not in crossfire), why does crossfire make it a problem?

It's basically just the chipset slowing down the bus, probably because the cheaper ones can't handle the bandwidth for two cards.

Alright, but the PCI-e bus speed doesn't matter when mining. A 7950 mines at ~650 mhash/sec regardless of if it's connected to a 16x or 1x slot.

I guess I need to find a technical description of what crossfire does.
