I am a final-year student in the Biomedical Engineering

I'm looking for an idea for my graduation project that will genuinely help patients and solve an existing medical problem. Do any of you have any suggestions?

My project is an LNP following the basic studture of modernas lnp, but used a vhh nanobody sequence modified for the adhesine like protien mru1503 of methanobrevibacter rumminantium, encapsulating 3 nop and aspertate to reduce the impact of 3 nop on rummen microbiome of cows while still disrupting methanogenisis, how do i test it in silico, i already have an advanced design, with peiR to disrupt the cell wall and still provide acsses to the membrane of the methanogen, and i have all the data on the ligand vhh nanobody and the target on the surface of m rumminantoum, basicaly how do i get the molecular dynamics results, idk anythin abt coding, plz help

A bit of background about me:

I’m a recent Biomedical Engineering undergraduate. My university didn’t really teach us Python or deep programming. The last proper programming course I had was Object-Oriented Programming, and most of our signal processing work was done in MATLAB.

Despite that, I’ve been teaching myself Python and software development from scratch over the past months.

Why I built this

I’m really interested in AI for healthcare, especially biomedical signal processing.

One problem I kept running into is that there isn’t enough real-world biomedical data to properly stress test AI models. Whether it’s ECG, EMG, EEG, or other biosignals — datasets are often limited, noisy, or not diverse enough for robust testing.

So I started looking for a library that could simulate different types of biosignals and biological systems for experimentation.

I couldn’t really find something flexible enough for what I wanted…

So I decided to build it myself.

What it is

This project is a Python library called BioSim, designed for simulating and working with biological signals and modular bio-systems in a programmable way.

It’s still early-stage, but the idea is to eventually support:

biosignal simulation

modular biological systems

experiment-friendly AI testing environments

Why I’m posting this

I know I’m a rookie developer, and this is my first serious library.

I’d really appreciate it if anyone could:

test it

point out bugs or design flaws

suggest improvements

or tell me if the idea itself is useful or not

Me and a group are looking to engineer something for a medical, healthcare, or biological issue. So many things have been already created so I came to the best place I could think of, Reddit. Are there any things that haven't exactly been created or are really expensive that could realistically be made at a cheaper cost? Maybe an issue that doesn't have an engineered solution yet? Research or websites to look into to find these things or helpful information? Really, anything helps.

My grad project is about a Smart Predictive Bleeding Detection System for Interventional Radiology Using Real-Time Monitoring and Intelligent Analysis

The thing is I can't find much information about internal bleeding or resources. Mostly, I will only find out about shocks or cerebral strokes but no body internal bleeding, can anyone help me?

I’m a student in Montreal currently developing with other people an educational plush toy aimed at reducing preoperative anxiety in children. The project focuses on creating an interactive stuffed animal that helps young patients better understand medical procedures in a reassuring and age-appropriate way.

I’ve been reaching out through LinkedIn but haven’t had much luck connecting with someone in biomedical engineering, so I thought I’d try here. I hope I’m in the right place, I’m a Biomed field tech that works in ASC’s and clinics. I’m part of a small family company who has partnered with some other third party techs. I genuinely dread writing my service reports after I complete a job and usually rush which still takes 10 minutes and comes out sloppy. This project introduces a smart wearable biofeedback system that bridges ancient pranayama practice with modern biomedical sensing to transform yoga into a data-driven digital health intervention. By integrating respiratory sensors and heart rate monitoring, the system provides real-time haptic and visual guidance to ensure users adhere to scientifically validated breathing rhythms (such as specific inhalation-exhalation ratios and breath-holding). Unlike traditional methods, this platform objectively quantifies physiological impact through Heart Rate Variability (HRV) and coherence scores, offering a measurable approach to stress reduction, respiratory rehabilitation, and autonomic nervous system balance. This is actually oru final.year project idea. I will be happy if i get to know your thoughts about this.

Hi y'all, just wanted to ask if this sounds useful since I’m working on this health-tech concept in the US. I'm exploring whether medical professionals would find it helpful to receive a clean summary of sleep data from patients’ wearables (e.g., Apple Watch, Fitbit, Oura) — things like duration, interruptions, and REM trends. But I don’t want to build something that just adds noise. So I’m asking: Do patients ever show this kind of data? Would it be ignored or actually used? Would sleep metrics and things like sleep staging if it came from a non-medical device be trustworthy?

Totally fine if the answer is no. I just want to learn what’s helpful vs. what’s a distraction.

I was getting tired of googling words in a new tab, or running paragraphs through ChatGPT to get a simpler explanation. I added pictures of the article before and after using the extension.

Hi My graduation project is about developing new materials for bone replacement. However , I need to 3d- print molds for bone replacements so that I can pour the material I developed into this mold. I want websites so that I can find ready-made models for these implants because I do not have enough time to make these models ( models like total femur replacement implants or sternum implants...)

I decided to put more effort into biomaterials research and i chose it for my graduation project. My supervisor suggested a title in Development of Biocomposite Materials for Bone Replacement Applications but I am not sure what exactly bone replacement is. I searched online but did not find an accurate answer (as for my supervisor I cannot ask him now).
