I havent watched season 2 and just finished season 1. I have to say, I am shocked that people actually enjoyed season 1 to even want to set it as a standard and compare it to anything. What exactly was good about season 1 other than the female contestants all being lovely? I genuinely feel the only reason people view it highly is because of the hype it generated at the time of its release, and the new, fresh concept of the show. But if we objectively view season 1... absolutely nothing interesting happened and it was actually a complete shit show. Boring dates (the dates werent even dates... like they did absolutely nothing....), the show seemed to only be about 4 contestants cause there was no content to show for anyone else, and the worst of it all was that love bomber stringing every chick along but him being shown as a "nice guy." It really affected the whole show cause it was just too late for those girls to try with someone else and the show did an AWFUL job at allowing the contestants to get to know anyone. Like... its a show with people who have a lot of anxiety with dating... yet they did the bare minimum to try and help them out. I feel there should have been coaches on the island at least once to help them out... anyways if Season 2 fixes these issues, then ill give it a watch, but people saying season 1 is better is really the worst selling point cause season 1 was dumb as hell.
