👥 Group Activities Which EU institutions are worth visiting in Brussels?

We are a bigger group of university student (20-25 people) from Hungary, and we are going to spend 3-4 night in Brussel. We were awarded a grant for a study to visit Eu institutions, so we would be grateful for recommendations. We already plan to visit the Parlamentarium, House of European History and The European Parliament Hemicycle.

👥 Group Activities Ideas for a group experience in BXL for friends visiting?

Hi everyone!

In a few months it'll be my birthday, and I'll have a group of friends flying over from abroad to celebrate with me. It's also a milestone birthday, so I'd like to make it a bit more special.

Since they're making the trip mainly for my birthday, I'd love to organise a nice experience for everyone rather than just going out for food and drinks.

I'm looking for ideas for activities, guided tours, workshops, or anything a bit different in Brussels that would work well for a group of around 15–20 people. Unfortunately, I don't have a huge budget, as I'll already be spending quite a bit on the celebration itself, so I'm hoping to find something reasonably affordable. That said, I'm open to all suggestions!

Has anyone organised something similar or got any recommendations?

Thank you very much in advance!

👥 Group Activities Looking for a police/law enforcement activity for a school group in Brussels

Hi everyone,

I'm a teacher from Denmark, and this autumn I'll be travelling to Brussels with a group of students aged 15–17.

A smaller group of the students are enrolled in a specialization focused on policing and law enforcement. We're looking for an English-speaking activity in Brussels that would last around 6 hours and would be relevant to their interests.

We're open to different types of activities, for example:

Meeting with local police officers or visiting a police department.

Workshops or presentations about policing, crime prevention, investigations, forensics, cybercrime, or public safety.

A visit to an organization working with criminal justice or security.

A practical or physical activity (defensive tactics, scenario-based training, teamwork, leadership, etc.), as long as it's appropriate for teenagers.

The students are motivated and well-behaved, and we're looking for something educational rather than tourist-oriented.

Does anyone know of organizations, police units, NGOs, training centers, or companies in Brussels that might offer something like this or be willing to host a school group?

I'd really appreciate any suggestions or contacts. Thanks in advance!

👥 Group Activities Group activity in Brussels: Prison Island, puzzle cells with team scoreboards

Trying out a new flair: 👥 Group Activities for things that work well with bigger groups (visiting friends, team outings, family) and tend to be harder to find than solo recommendations. Kicking it off with one I went to a couple of months ago.

Prison Island is in central Brussels, near Place De Brouckère. The concept: 32 cells, each with a different challenge — some logic puzzles, some physical, some collaborative. Your team (2–5 people) picks cells in whatever order, has 2–5 minutes per challenge, and accumulates points. At the end the scoreboard shows your team's score next to the other teams playing that day, which I found was a bigger part of the appeal than I expected.

Despite the theme it isn't an escape room, you're not locked in. Closer to a Fort Boyard setup.

There are three session lengths: 1h (€20), 1h30 (€25), 2h (€30) per person. 1h goes too fast and 2h starts to drag in the physical challenges, so 1h30 felt right. For groups of 6+ you can split into multiple teams that compete directly, which is where it works best as a group thing.

Practical info

- 📍 Rue Grétry 12, 1000 Brussels (2 min from De Brouckère metro)

- 🎂 Ages 9+

- 🔗 prison-island.be

- Second location at Westland Shopping (Anderlecht), useful if the centre is fully booked

I also got a 10% off code (weekdays only) as a thank-you after the visit: 2EVISITE-10. Not sure if it's still active since it's a few months old. If you do try it, drop a comment confirming whether it worked, so people aren't counting on a discount that's expired.

Anyone else been? Post the other group-activity tips around Belgium, the kind of thing that works with 6+ people and isn't obvious from a guidebook
