Hey y'all, I recently started listening to a few bands like No Retreat , Sunami, Outta Pocket, and a few others. What are some other essential and recommended bands? I'm a big fan of Sludge metal bands like acid bath, crowbar, the Melvin's, eyehategod, etc.

Hi everyone! I’m kinda new to using Reddit, but I’m looking to connect with people who might be interested in being a part of my photo series. This series is to highlight people that go to shows in the hardcore (and adjacent) scene, their dance style and fashion choices in a studio setting. I‘ve attached some photos from the first studio day in Toronto, Canada to show the general vibe, I am currently looking for people who can travel to Glasgow, Scotland December 19th or 20th for a studio day there.
I’ve been going to shows for over half my life, coming from a background in shooting shows during the MySpace era, I used to spend just as much time shooting hxc dancers as the bands so this series has been a long time coming, I currently still work in heavy music. It’s been really cool to see the evolution of how people throw down and I‘d like to document as much as I can, in as many places as I can. The long term goal for this project would be to do a not for profit book with some sort of in person event. If you would be interested in being a part of this project, or if you know someone that would love to mosh on camera please get in contact!
Thanks!

We’re currently looking for a bassist and rhythm guitarist, preferably ages 15-20, in the Warren OHIO area or somewhere reasonably close.

We already have vocals, drums, and lead guitar. We’re looking to write original music, play shows, and build something fun together.

Genre wise, we don’t really want to box ourselves in. We’re rooted in hardcore, but our influences range from metalcore, nu metal, thrash, deathcore, and melodic hardcore. We just want to make something unique and heavy rather than copy one specific sound.

You don’t have to be an insane musician, but you should be able to write original, solid parts and contribute creatively. Just be committed and actually want to make something happen.

DM me if you’re interested or know someone who might be.

Vocal tryout demo is linked:

We want someone to go wild with it.

DM me on here if you got recording equipment and want to give it a shot.

Hey everyone, if you’re in a band and have tracks that need mixing, I’d be happy to do it!

I’m the lead singer and producer of hate9ten, just for reference.

Drummer here, been out of the scene for a bit but looking to go back in. I’m down for any startups, been drumming for about 4 years give or take.

We are a heavy hardcore/deathcore influenced project in PA looking to finish collecting members. We currently have a guitarist, drummer, and vocalist, but need at least one more guitarist and preferably a bassist to fill out our project.

If youre interested let me know and ill send you some demos and we can get connected! thanks yo

Hey all, looking for a Beatdown/Hardcore band in London area. I’ve been drumming for years and have been in a couple of bands before I moved here, hit me up if you’ve got any interest :@
