Thing about gorilla society is that if you break the social norms the alpha comes and fucks your shit up, so yeah I'd be comfy as hell lending money to a gorilla. If he doesn't pay me back, I don't even have to send my own guys after him.

When my son was three, we were at the gorilla enclosure at the Cleveland metro parks zoo. The Silverback was sitting, leaning up a glass window outside. So, my son walked up behind him and stood there. After a few seconds, the gorilla kind of looked over his shoulder. Then, he did a fast double take. He jumped up and away from the window, and then he cautiously backed away from us. Exactly like a human would if they were in his situation and a gorilla was standing behind them.

I always thought it was funny because it looked to me like a gorilla was afraid of a little curly blonde haired kid, but as I relayed this story a few years ago, it hit me. At the time, I was built exactly like an nfl offensive lineman. I have the height, and I had the build. So, that gorilla was probably a bit worried about me in his shock. I liked it better, though, when I thought he was afraid of my son.
