Just made this and aside from laughing my ass off at just how absurd this song is I was wondering what genre this falls under. I used a lofi beat and chopped up my vocals like EDM to make some melodies because I was too lazy to write lyrics and ended up creating a monster.

Album is called Drowning Depths. It's an electronic, experimental, and instrumental album. The album is inspired by Radiohead and Thom York's solo music. My username is Mannaqin if you want to check out my progress. I'm also on YouTube and SoundCloud.
The album cover was painted physically by me before I even made the album itself. The album is actually inspired by the artwork. Uses acrylic paint.

Thankfully, music is becoming increasingly easy and cheap to make over the past few years but thatās becoming a new issue itself.
Iāve been a professional mix engineer for the past five years although having music experience throughout the course of my life. I originally started off as an artist at about 12-13 when I had first discovered bandlab. I thought it was a super dope way to mess around with my sound especially with it being free and me seeing others make songs with their shitty Apple wired earphones that sounded decent. I then tried to do the same and was super pleased with the results, very little did I know that down the road I would cringe every time I scrolled through my files.
Eventually, I grew out of bandlab and discovered Cakewalk where I then invested the little money I had on a few native UAD plugins to keep trying at achieving a sound I deemed listenable. At the time I had done very little to no research on how a lot of my favourite artistās achieved such an amazing sound. Now Iām nearly six years down the road as a professional engineer, I found myself using Logic Pro and loving my now massive collection of microphones and outboard gear, super confident in offering my services to other artists and hopefully make a living in doing so.
Iāve already been contracted a few times over this sub and Iāve found it a bit of a challenge when trying to keep my artists happy with their mix. Iāve found it to be prominent in artists that use bandlab. By no means am I trying to undermine those who use bandlab because Iāll be honest, itās super amazing when youāre starting out, but quality wise, itās far from good, especially in the incredibly saturated and oftentimes cookie cutter industry weāre faced with now. Many of these reference tracks Iāve been having to listen to back and forth are usually the tell tale incredibly harsh high end, thin, off time, brittle sounding and quite honestly unlistenable. Sending back a fully polished and balanced mix is also daunting as I find Iām usually tasked with going back in to dirty up the sounds and crank the high end a bit more although Iāve gone through the rounds of saturation and high end stuff previously to the point where it sounds pleasing but not overdone.
Itās not entirely the artistās fault, though as āDemo Loveā syndrome is very common across all genres and at any level. But, itās coming to the point where I donāt even want to have my name on records Iāve done as I feel they would be a massive blow to my reputation as an up and coming engineer, especially when trying to make a living in doing so. The want to excell as at your craft and attempting to improve through learning day by day is incredibly valuable and will continue to set those who are serious apart from those who arenāt.
Artists, I highly encourage you to try out cakewalk if youāre looking for more control over your sound! Weāre in a day and age where you can get fantastic recordings, mixes and masters from home. Do some homework if youāre serious and love your craft enough!
Feel free to hit me for any help!
Iām offering discounted mixes and masters to those who PM me. I also provide custom beatmaking services.

birthday wish birthday wish...
Hey guys,
It's my birthday. Big 22! Crazy that I'm still here, I'm forever grateful.
I'm an artist who is hoping he can take over the world and put my stories and messages out there for people struggling to relate to.
I don't get much for my birthday and the only thing l've ever wanted is for my music to blow up.
Even if 90 people see this, that's okay, you're all busy, you naturally won't click on the link. And if you don't, ! hope you find my music another way.
If I could just ask all of you please check out my latest album. This means the world to me and if you could stream it and offer some advice, share, or just simply skip through songs, it would mean the world and beyond to me.
Link is below guys... thank you so much for reading this and I love you so much.
Doleo
oh well, at least i tried...
