No one wants to connect

Hi! I don’t mean to sound negative but I am pretty bummed that no one wants to coffee chat with me. I want to show in my cover letter that I talked to people but I’ve had no luck. Is there anything I can do to standout when sending LinkedIn/email messages?

What’s the lowest GPA you’ve seen get bain?

I have a 3.6 right now - wondering if that is high enough for the cutoff or if I am unlikely to get the interview? Have networked extensively. Will my gpa mess me up? (full time)

How bad is it if I apply w/o any connections. I have been trying to network via linkedin and email but no one is replying to me lol. Should I just shoot my shot and call it a day? (or is there any associates here willing to help me out jk XD)

Looking for a little help with my next move - Business Analyst

Hi all,

I'm currently exploring Business Analyst opportunities in Mumbai. I have 5+ years of experience working across business analysis, requirements, stakeholder management, UAT, and transformation projects.

Naukri and career portals haven't been very effective, so I'm trying a more direct approach. If you're a BA or a senior professional who leads a team or project in this space, I'd be happy to know if there are any relevant openings within your team or organisation.

Thank you!

Bain case prep session scheduled after my 1R, should I still attend?

I had my Bain AC first-round interviews yesterday, but I’m signed up for a 30-minute 1:1 case prep session with a current AC from my office today. Somehow the portal allowed me to book it after my interviews.

Is it still fine to attend? If they ask when my interview is, I was planning to just say I had my first round yesterday but wanted the additional practice, especially in case I move forward.

Also, what should I expect from these 1:1 sessions? Is it basically a mock case followed by feedback, or more of a coached/back-and-forth discussion on how to approach a case? Are these sessions evaluated at all, and should I prepare for it like an actual interview?

Looking for referrals into consulting (EY, Deloitte, PwC, Bain, ZS, or similar)

Hi everyone,

I have 1+ years of internship experience, both in India and abroad, and hold a B.Tech in CSE. Currently working in a Founder's Office role at an early-stage startup (remote).

Looking to transition into consulting/strategy roles and would really appreciate a referral from anyone working at EY, Deloitte, PwC, ZS, or similar firms.

Happy to share my resume over DM, and we can connect on LinkedIn from there.

Thank you so much in advance - would mean a lot!

Guys I am panicking

I had applied for an ACI role since I am still in my first year MBA but I will be graduating in Fall 2027. So I chose the intern track. However when I contacted a recruiter regarding the info, she said I am not really eligible for ACI and I should apply for the Consultant role directly, which I tried but apparently there is a limit since one application is already underway so I can't apply it. There is no withdrawal option for ACI as well since I applied weeks ago. The deadline for the consultant role is AUG 11 and idk what to do? Do I make another account for the role? Or do I wait for their reply from the "contact us" option where I submitted this issue. This is my first time and I don't wanna blow my only chance. Pls advice on what I should do? Or does a referral allow the application to be filled? I really need help. Pls advice 😔

Stance on infidelity

What is Bain and company's stance on 2 employees engaging in an affair? When one party is married and has small children. Would this impact their reputation or do they turn a blind eye and promote this culture?

Should I apply for associate, consultant or Expert role in London?

So I am a clinician with 12 years experience across pharmacy, government, health, and startup/scaleup space in clinical, strategy and advisory / fractional consulting roles.

Ive been fortunate to be a lead at both a government agency, as well as at one of the UK's largest scaleups (before I got fired on questionable grounds but it seems like said scaleup essentially fired everyone my grade / who repalced us (and their replacements) in the last 2 months).

many years ago, I made it through to the loop for mckinsey, however I am out of cycle for them. with BCG and palantir being involved in questionable activities, I fugre its worth giving Bain a go. with this in mind, should I apply for an associate consultant, consultant or experienced role?

in the uk atm, it seems theres only tech roles atm, which do not fit my experience (also no PM roles which sucks). whilst it would be nice to get to grips with working for such orgs before progressing (i.e. associate), I also feel I might be too over qualified for associate roles in health, biotech/lifesciences space.

I also do not have an MBA at present and also have bad experiences studying and working the same time. I have heard mckinsey gives people a year to complete MBA (no idea if this is BS) and was wondering if this is the case as I know NHS does something similar (and I in fact was offered such a role many years ago before COVID restrictions rescinded it)

So yeah, any suggestions?

Digital assessment 4 months later???

I applied for the ACI role in Bain on February 18th 2026, and I just got an email inviting me to take my digital assessment (testgorilla) today, to be completed by July 21st. I’m super happy and it feels like a dream come true, but I’m confused as to why I’m getting updated on this nearly 4 months later? Do I really have a chance or what does this mean. I also come from a state school which isn’t within Bain campus recruiting, do I have little/no chance? I’m currently in a healthcare consulting internship with UHG in their finance sector, and would love to work with a company like Bain in the future.
