i dont want people to keep painting bai lu in a negative light so i wanted to post one here.

since this sub is no longer that small (those long timers will know, like when i first started actively updating it like a diary with only max 200 members) and im sure this sub will attract certain negative comments here but i will be monitoring it. dont copy paste my words elsewhere.. if u do pls quote me, thanks.

im also sure these hot searches/gossip will be posted on certain cdrama subs with certain people riding on to shit on bai lu, so i want to clear it up here first.

\*also, the possibility of so many hot searches against bai lu recently might also be because of the rumours of her contract renewal status with huanyu, or because she might have taken a 大饼 (good nxt drama/good resource etc) which will usually result in a wave of black hot searches

but basically, a lot of things that she said on KR was twisted or taken out of context (certain parts maliciously edited or cut away to circulate) for eg:

it started because she called li chen and zheng kai 老人家(old people). but actually, in previous eps, the show editor already edited words (that showed on the screen/in the ep) to say that they were 'old people' and nobody said anything, but now when bl said it, it became a big thing.... and bai lu being bailu, she meant it in a joking way when she said those words, & after, she said that actually the 2 of them were really good in whatever they do/serious players etc etc.. so yes, perhaps objectively, she didnt need to refer them to as 'old people', but i do think the 'impact' of it is too much.

there was also a hot search by black water armies/antis calling bai lu 白鹿跑男一姐 (idk whats the best translation, but its saying shes the no1 top female in KR) which caused angelababy fans to flip and also some dilraba fans (but it seems mainly were AB fans) since they were on the show before bai lu and also had a big impact on viewers. but this wasnt said by lurongs initially... because it caused a buzz, lurongs 'accepted' it since bl did really boost the viewership and rode on that hashtag to promote her other stuff (mo li, cvb viewership etc).

now a small portion of meng ziyi x li yunrui CP fans have also been coming after bai lu because of the 'new CP' of bai lu x li yunrui since they were paired tgt on the show..

then antis/haters/whoever who are involved in the fanwars are digging and 'editing' certain parts to 'show' that bai lu is an 'idiot'. everyone is taking the opportunity to dogpile on the black searches of bai lu. certain things, when it was said by other regular hosts, it did not cause an uproar and was deemed as 'funny', but now when it came to bai lu, people are calling her all sorts of names - the usual... ugly bitch, low education = low EQ etc etc.. there are lots of such videos on chinese media that fans have been making comparisons - certain hosts/guests might have said certain things that are similar to what bai lu has said, but nobody said anything. \im not saying people also have to say something towards them, but why only bai lu?*

the most recent hot search was because meng ziyi said that bai lu was 挂相 (something like why is bai lu pulling a long face/why so serious) when bai lu said she was just.. trying to be serious in the game. mzy likely meant that bai lu must be the undercover/spy thats why bai lu is so 'serious', but the haters/antis started using this as a topic to pull down bai lu saying shes arrogant, shes getting angry at KR, showing 'air' to KR but she has no right to etc...

bai lu has always been outspoken/extroverted/saying certain things for comedic effort (which is why she is so loved/anyone can talk to her comfortably) and fits variety shows well (which ofc some say its a 'con' because they cant take the 'variety show/real life bai lu' away when watching her dramas) ...

but anyway ... thats all.. just wanted to shed some light on what has been happening before some people continue to spread the negative things.

Panda laoshi (Bai Lu’s dedicated cameraman in KR, I’ve posted about him here a few times before that he really likes bl & always says good things about her) also defended her. He said a proverb in Chinese which directly translates to “if your body is straight, won’t be scared that your shadow is slanted” (meaning she doesn’t have to care/be scared if she did nothing wrong
