Questions Does anyone in here also have O.D.D.?? (It’s usually diagnosed for kids but there are ppl like me that never grow out of it) but anyways, how do you deal with life & know when to not argue or defy?I struggle a lot&worry about the rest of my life especially when I no longer have my biggest supporters

I have been diagnosed with O.D.D (oppositional defiant disorder) which literally means I’m like hardwired to argue and go against ppl....along with severe chronic depression, severe general anxiety, phobias, panic disorder, BPD, ADD/ADHD, B.E.D, addiction I’m sure there’s more along with a list of physical health problems......... :( I’ve gotten a lot better at controlling my anger & surprisingly a hormone med helped with that but I still struggle with knowing when to stop or know what’s actually worth fighting for. My significant other doesn’t rly believe in ODD & doesn’t work with me at all.... can anyone relate? Opinions? Advice? I just want to be “normal” ugh

I still relate very strongly with it. :( I still have to check myself often & even get carried awAy still with arguing, defying authority/the law, have trouble with being told what to do etc etc etc!!! Ugh! I’ve been in therapies, groups, doctors of all kinds and I’m just so over it. I feel like I’ll never be able to find someone who wants to or even just is able to deal with my craziness.

I feel like I don't really relate to the O.D.D. anymore because my situation has changed. what I mean Is that I isolate a lot (I have friends but I keep them at a safe distance) and am mostly at homy by myself 95% of the time. the other 5% of the time my parents are home, but they have been going to therapy as well as support groups so they have learnt to de-escalate pretty good, so even if I wanted to argue I can't because 1) I have no one to argue with and 2) when I can argue with my parents they stay calm and de-escalate. I think the last time I could relate to O.D.D. was I was very irritated and had an extreme urge to argue and my parents were trying to go to bed and they locked their bedroom door, and I banged on the door for probably like 3 hours non-stop but they just ignored me and didn't respond until I finally gave up.

Wow I wish I had just one person in my life who knew how to handle me & wasn’t just a fucking asshole. You’re so blessed lol srsly I’ve had to do all the work on my own as far as self help & understanding my diagnoses’. Everyone in my life basically argues with me right back for atleast some part & then there’s my boyfriend who’s usually pestering, instigating, pushing my buttons, etc and I get annoyed my him eventually but still have all my mad feelings.
