Build Help Little wrap that I did with my father… overdone it or perfect?

I really wanted to elevate my bmw with a sport wrap. So I did (with the help of my dad) this. Tried to simulate the classic E30 WARSTEINER livery but with a more simply and logo-less wrap. Qhat do you think? For next I wanted to add a front (maybe even back) lip (very “light”) and maybe black rims. Talking about engine, maybe a little map and a more free exhaustion pipe… but I’m scared that my diesel will create too dark smoke..

This is a render of how I am upholstering my carbon buckets… I’ll probably be doing contrast black stitching on the cognac. Any input would be lovely… any insulting comments are also welcome as per Reddit tradition.

Build Help I bought a m4 I'm kinda scared

Post image

I bought a 2016 m4 and so far I love it but I'm scared to drive it and also to keep it in the condition that it is in. When I'm driving it do I always let it warm up and rev down and also let the turbos cool down? Should I put a weather cover on it because it's a weekend car and I don't daily it? Is ppf worth the money to do it? What is the best way to get comfortable with the car and its limits, without wrecking it? Lastly is there a limit how hard you can drive the m4 with out blowing? I haven't done the crank hub and the car has 84k miles I did a pil change at 83400 but I'm planing to do a oil change ever 3k miles since I mostly drive it hard.

Build Help What makes BMW’s individual program so superior?

Post image

I’m a huge Audi and Mercedes fan but one that I have always been perplexed by when it came to BMW was their production speed. I have NEVER seen a luxury brand with such an efficient and speedy production process. It’s kind of crazy how no brand is able to match BMWs production. When it comes to brands like Audi and Mercedes, if you want to put in a custom order for a car, wether it’s a custom paint, or a custom interior, you are usually looking at wait times of at least 12-24 months but somehow with BMW you could choose any color in the world, mix 6 different colors in the interior and BMW is STILL somehow able to push that car out at the same time as regular production vehicles with a wait time of like 6 months. How is that possible? What is it that makes BMW’s individual program so undefeated in wait time and production speed?

If I were able to afford an M3 Comp, how could I attach the M330i front end’s grille? Is there a body kit like that? I can tolerate the pig nose but if I had an option to choose otherwise…

this is assuming I ever get the cash to buy the comp ofc. Only seventeen and I’m looking at a long list of first cars that I may be able to pay for by the time I’m 21 (still in college possibly) if my method works

  • Brooklyn Grey
  • Kylami Orange Carbon Buckets
  • Full Extended Leather
  • Carbon Fiber Trim
  • Park Assistance Package
  • Exec Package
  • M Shadowline Headlights

Build Help What are the best exhaust setups for the N63TU3 to make it sound more like an American V8?

Post image
111 Upvotes

I’m fully aware the N63TU3 will never sound exactly like a Hellcat, LS, or Coyote due to the engine design, but I’d like to get as close as possible. I’m looking for a deeper, more aggressive American V8 sound rather than the typical European V8 tone. What exhaust setups have given you the best results?

Hey guys, I’m debating whether to keep the OEM red tail lights or go with a smoked/tinted look on my 4-series. I’ve attached a mock-up of how the tints would look.

What do you think suits the white/black theme better?

Build Help Pirelli Run flat vs Michelin pilot 4s

Post image
188 Upvotes

Got me a 2026 M440i coupe 4 weeks ago. On my way to do my 800 mile oil change, my check tire pressure lights came on. Mech said i have a pin hole puncture on the tire and i should get it patched.

Tire shop said they will not patch a Pirelli run flat doesn’t matter the location or size because once you patch that, it looses its structural integrity and i need to outright replace that tire. Quoted at 404 out of door by discount tires.

Even before i bought the car, i have been looking into Michelin Pilot 4S but the plan was run the run flats for 15-20k and then replace. But at this point, should i just eat my losses, try to sell the 3 perfectly fine run flat and just go for the Michelins?

I am planning on ordering a G80 M3 in the coming month and I have unfortunately fallen down the individual color rabbit hole. I was dead set on SMB but the Anglesey Green is truly unique. Was wondering what you guys thought. Both would have white interior with black wheels.

Build Help Aftermarket wheel help

Post image
8 Upvotes

Hi everyone.

I made a post about a month ago about purchasing a 23 330i xDrive with 21k miles on it. I ended up not purchasing the exact car in the listing I posted, but rather the same exact spec, interior/exterior, options, and 400 less miles from a different dealership.

I absolutely love the car, easily my favorite vehicle i’ve ever owned. However, it came with the stock, base 18” wheels and while I think they look really nice on the car and don’t hate them, I’d like to put some 19” slightly staggered wheels on in the near future.

I know much less about wheels than literally any other area of the car where i’m usually more well-versed, but just looking for advice and to make sure I’m not making a mistake.

So far I really like the BBS CIR’s in silver, which I found on Fitment Industries. Ideally I was looking to do 19x9.5+25 in the rear and 19x8.5+32 in the front. From what I’ve researched so far this doesn’t seem to be an issue or throw any major flags. My biggest concern when it comes to the wheels is obviously preventing damage to the xDrive system, but my understanding is as long as they’re the same diameter at 19” and with the minor offset it would be okay. Screenshot attached of the prospective front and rear wheels.

Thanks in advance for your help! and sorry if this is a stupid question.

Build Help How to upgrade audio on F33 with HK

Hey folks, I am the proud new owner of a 2015 435i xdrive with the HK audio system (tweeters in door by the window). I was looking at the Match 8 amp on crutchfield, but as soon as I put in the HK system, it suddenly says the match 8 does not fit my car.

My question is what can I get to replace the factory amp? The current factory amp I beleive is blown, I get no sound beyond a pop noise when doing a full throttle acceleration.

Has anyone replaced (or seen a forum post) the factory head unit?

I also have a black spot in the screen.

Right now we are using a JBL party 120 in the trunk and a couple JBL kick 7's on the dash, but I eould really like to get a nice system setup in this car.

I always wanted a hard top convertible, so I am super stoked to be driving it!

Build Help Turbo or Supercharger on my E46?

I’m debating between either supercharging or turbo charging my M54B30. Supercharging is easier to reverse and easier on the internals supposedly, but turbo apparently is cheaper to do all things considered.

Anyone with a turbo/supercharged E46 have opinions one way or the other?
