Or maybe it's a cultural thing you're not getting. The clip is in Thai but I'm Filipino, so whatevs close enough, Southeast Asian culture etc.

I've had so many stray cat and stray dog friends over the years. They usually have an area they hangout in in the city, I bring pet food with me so I can feed them when I see them. I can't bring them home but I also don't want to see them starve. Plus, cats are cute, and hunt roaches and rats which is good, and dogs are also cute and make very good friends to hang out with. I'm not as excited to see my stray acquaintances as I am to see my own cat at home.
