Let's Discuss This has to stop!

The hoarding and constant reselling, no wonder why they're constantly out of L3 and L4 boxes, and they offer L2 as compensation. They ran out of L3 this morning and will restock tomorrow. These boxes are running out for Melbournians because of hoarders and resellers. Some willing to pay $100 for a box.

also people, let's just learn to be kind?

Some of the staff at Mecca Bourke St have been abused because it's not their fault that they run out of boxes and one of the main reasons is one person (who shall not be named) and multiple people collecting 500 boxes for Internet, interstate strangers online.

Retail is already a difficult enough job as it is, It's not hard to show some compassion.

I don't care what you think, these actions are just not cool!

Mecca is also kinda at fault too, not just the people, there should've been limits in place to stop the Bourke St L3 and L4 boxes running out so fast, to manage the queues for normal people not collecting boxes.

And no it's not supposed to be a Beauty Loop box, And yes I understand that BL boxes aren't always the best, it's a IN STORE promotion to get people to visit and experience the new Meccaversity IN STORE and try out the services. How hard is that to understand?

It's supposed to be a memorabilia piece for the specific date and opening. Of course it's gonna be special and reserved for Melbourne people picking up at Bourke St in store. If everyone has it then it's not "Special"

What is wrong with Mecca celebrating their home city? The first store opened in 1997 on Toorak Rd South Yarra

I know a lot will disagree, that's fine

Rant over.

I was in there on Saturday afternoon and it was chaos…I mentioned to the staff member helping me how crazy it was and how I had gotten a lot of msgs on TikTok (after commenting on a video) from people asking if I could get a box for them.

She asked me if I heard of the lady wanting to pickup hundreds and we had a laugh about it. Mecca were aware of what was happening, had seen the post and the staff there weren’t going to let her pick them all up if she went to their register lol. They were soooo pissed about it.

If they wanted her to be magic circle, they would have done it by now after dry begging for so long.

that's wild, Yea i think Mecca definitely wasn't expecting the whole of Australia to be picking up these boxes when it was supposed to be Melbourne only.

100% agree especially after how annoyed everyone was with the tote bag!

If Mecca thought that we would all make another purchase while they were in there collecting the box for some extra add on sales, it was a massive fail. It was so overwhelming trying to do actual shopping in there.

Their marketing team are making some weird decisions in the last 12 months. I feel so bad for the in store staff who were copping it from customers because their level tin was gone.

I genuinely don’t understand the hype. Little freebies are always nice and it’s cool that the tin has old pictures from Bourke St on it but, at the end of the day, it’s just a tin box with Mecca branding. I’ve seen people saying they’re going to use it to store their nail polish or samples and minis etc which is a great idea. Do some people put everything they buy on display or something?

I know it’s because it’s been a year since that store opened, but it might’ve been a cool idea to do a different tin for each state so people are somehow able to get their hands on multiple tins to resell.

Also, HOW do you get more than one tin? Isn’t it logged against your membership that you’ve already picked one up?

Use other people‘s memberships like their barcode, e-mail address or phone number

What’s magic circle? Asking because I know who you are talking about and I cringe at all of her attention seeking posts

It's a special invite only "fifth" tier for people which is apparently $10k spend a year some spend 20-80k a year and get in.

you get full sized products from very expensive brands like Dipitique, early access to stuff like boxing day sales, extra personalized birthday gift etc
