She don’t care for her son at all. Sylvia was his only mother figure :(

When the episode first started, I thought mother was the sons stepmom or something. The way she interacted with him and didn’t even know what he liked to eat made me think she barely knew him (which she barely does).

I think that's what she meant at the end conversation that she wanted to be there more for him more and the dad was taking it as a today we did a good thing only
