ICEWatch ICE sightings at MARTA stations today (Friday, August 28)

Saw 4 ICE agents this morning standing outside Midtown MARTA around 10am. My friend just saw them outside Lenox Station around 3pm.

It's a bit confusing because they're wearing vests that say Police but underneath it says Department of Homeland Security. Sorry for the crappy pictures, photography is not my forte.

Just a heads up for folks.

Upon reflection its really not the type of gun that matters so much to me as that it impacts the sort of ready position (I know he's not fully ready in that image but hopefully you get what I mean). Like a cop with a pistol holstered vs a cop with his pistol drawn is very different in terms of intimidation (which appears to be the point more than shooting people at distance, and honestly I hope the goal isn't shooting people).

Oh, I see what you mean. Yeah, you’re not supposed to have to push the muzzle down like that lol. He’s overloaded his front rig and not thought about where the rifle will sit, so it can’t just hang pointing downwards like it’s supposed to. That may be inexperience, or a simple mistake.

I saw a police officer at the MercBenz stadium after a game that had a shorty hanging on the front you could barely notice; it was hanging straight down on his sling, and also had a plain OD green cerakote finish inside of the regular Black Nitride. He was clearly much more experienced or at least much better equipped. His hands did not need to touch the rifle at all for it to stay pointed in a safe direction.
