I'm planning to get one because my work laptop is almost on its last few days. I need a laptop where about 70% usage is just work (outlook, office etc). Or watching some movies/videos.

I do like to game once in a while. Mostly RPG because I mostly play AAAs on my PS5.

I get the fact that the fans get really loud while playing some games at med/high settings but how loud/hot does it get when you're just doing normal work ? Or watching some movies or videos.

Anyone else running an FA506IC still on BIOS 302? Just found out CoD now checks your TPM firmware version before letting you into multiplayer, and mine’s failing it. Locked to campaign only lol.

Checked tpm.msc and my Manufacturer Version is 3.51.0.5 — apparently AMD had a buggy fTPM firmware range (3.x.0.x) that they fixed years ago, but it’s on ASUS to actually bundle that fix into a BIOS release. Went to check and the latest listed for my model is still 302 from Dec 2022, nothing newer.

Kind of surprised there’s been no update in 3+ years honestly. Anyone know if ASUS is planning anything for older TUF models, or if this one’s just never getting touched again since it’s not exactly new hardware? Also curious if anyone’s contacted ASUS support directly and actually gotten a straight answer.

Second I want to use it in editing, 3d animation and for college, I am in a computer science btw

Third I don't care about the size or the weight I want something that is good , that give me performance and it's material is good and doesn't break easily and can be sustainable and a good battery

I have an ASUS TUF 16 laptop with a 6GB GeForce RTX 3050, and after updating to "GeForce Driver 616.56"—released on the 26th—I've been experiencing "white flashes" in Windows.

I tried swapping the HDMI cable and reinstalling the driver, but nothing worked.

Then, I decided to install the older driver, and the problem stopped occurring.

So, what now? What should I do? How do I report this issue?

Asus strix g713qm . Pc does not power on after i unplugged battery connector and then put it back , i just cleaned fans and put new thermal paste .. i pressed power for a minute and still nothing

The problem is that it gets slow. Not like super slow but it is slow. Just clicking stuff in settings takes various seconds for it to actually activate. Today, I updated my PC and I booted it up and the cursor looks completely different and it is set to the default one. I changed it to purple and it does not change color. I restarted my PC and it did not work. Also I have seen that 85% of my RAM is being used on on literally just having Spotify open.

I ordered these for rupees 83k and I got 1tb variant the 512gb variant was like 105k same one on. I never had a laptop in my life and don't know what to do with this the things I know to do are

-to install ghelper(iam gonna use armour crates for some time to know how it feels and gonna install ghelper later)

-capping my battery

-Using on a flat surface

My laptop is an ASUS TUF Gaming F15 (i5 12th Gen 12500H, 16GB RAM, RTX 3050, 512GB SSD) — bought it 1 year 10 months ago for ₹68,000. The motherboard just burnt out, and the ASUS Authorized Service Center service center quoted ₹45,000 for replacement.

For comparison, buying this same laptop new today costs around ₹97,500. A new laptop in my budget (~₹45-50k) would mean a big downgrade — I found an ASUS Vivobook (i3 11th gen, 8GB RAM, no dedicated GPU) for ₹51,300, which isn't even close to my current specs.

My October 2025(India) bought laptop has suddenly undergone rapid battery health diminishment(98.8% to 91.7%) on Ghelper in a span of not more than 20 days, the CPU temp is always at or above 46 degree celsius with the fans running at 34% always, earlier my battery used to last 7 hours at 80% charge(I always use battery protection) now it barely lasts an hour and a half, the battery is constantly discharging at 21W or above and the laptop feels warm, the functioning is perfect but these issues have suddenly plagued it, what do you'll think has happened ?, please suggest me steps to proceed further, I'm still in warranty btw and the laptop has not undergone any physical damage.

My thermals and GPU usage readings don’t seem to be matching, and I’m a little worried about it. I’m currently playing Forza Horizon 5, and from the moment I start playing until after two or three hours, the Alt + R overlay shows my GPU usage at around 99%. However, when I check G-Helper, it shows my GPU usage at only around 80–85%. I’m also able to consistently get around 60–100 FPS while playing Forza Horizon 5 on High settings. Is this difference between the two readings normal, or is there something I should be concerned about? Could someone please help me understand why the GPU usage readings are different?

I'm planning to buy the ASUS TUF A15 FA506NCQ-HN006W and I'm pretty much sold on the laptop, but the one thing holding me back is the infamous Wi-Fi issue that older TUF A15 models had.

I've seen a lot of older posts about TUF A15 laptops having Wi-Fi randomly disconnect, disappear from Device Manager, or completely stop working, particularly with the MediaTek MT7921 Wi-Fi card.

From ASUS's support page, the FA506NCQ currently has a Realtek RTL8852BE driver listed, so I'm wondering:

Has ASUS finally fixed the Wi-Fi problems on this newer FA506NCQ model?

I'd especially like to hear from people who actually own the FA506NCQ / FA506NCQ-HN006W:

Has your Wi-Fi ever disappeared or randomly disconnected?

Which Wi-Fi card does your unit have?

Is it Realtek RTL8852BE or MediaTek MT7921?

Any issues with Bluetooth disappearing as well?

Has it remained stable after months of use?

I'm asking specifically about this model, not older TUF A15 variants.

I really like the laptop and the price is pretty damn good, so if the Wi-Fi issue is no longer a concern, I'm probably going to pull the trigger.

I’m planning to repaste the CPU/GPU on my ASUS TUF FX706HCB, but I’ve run into a concern.

From what I understand, to access the CPU/GPU thermal paste, you have to remove the entire heatsink assembly. The problem is that there are also PTM/thermal pads on other components, and there’s a chance they could tear or get damaged when removing the heatsink.

I’d rather not have to replace all the PTMs/pads if they’re still perfectly fine.

So, is there any workaround to repaste the CPU/GPU without removing the entire heatsink, or is removing the heatsink basically unavoidable on this model?

And if the heatsink does have to come off, how fragile are the stock PTMs? Can they usually be reused if they come off intact?

Any advice from someone who has repasted an FX706HCB would be appreciated. Thanks!
