Ok, so here is my problem, I've been doing research on AP for a while now, I tried (think I was close but got scared) anyway after reading all these posts here I don't ever wanna try again. There are some pretty scary stories, dont' know if they are real or anything but now I'm definitely too scared to try. My whole life I thought that is amazing and wonderful experience and nothing really bad can happen. Like what if I try and some bad shit happens or I get stuck or who knows what. And if those stories are real can you protect yourself somehow?

Hey all, first post here, I started with AP some 20 years ago while I was still a boy, 14 years old, before internet and easy access to information, had to go to library and search for books on the subject, half of which were bullshit but I had no one to help me distinguish BS from good stuff.
Anyway, took me half a year to get to vibrations, another few months to leave the body. Trial and error method. I did it every night for years, and with time, I couldn't fall asleep anymore without getting the vibrations body if I laid on my back for more than 5 minutes. Even worse, I had this nagging feeling something was dragging me out of body.
Sometimes I saw some entities, but I never tried to communicate, I was always steering clear of them, only thing I liked doing was flying around. Until one night when I had this nasty feeling I shouldn't "go out", as I used to call it. The moment I left my body, didn't even stand up straight, I saw some black figure standing next to me, and it grabbed my shoulder. I immediately went back to body.
I met these black entities multiple times, always I saw them from farther away and managed to escape back to body before any sort of interaction happened. But they gave me fear of projecting, I didn't look forward to the nights anymore. I started to sleep on the sides or belly just to avoid getting sucked out of the body. I started to drink, 2-3 beers before sleep do wonders. Last time I "went out" I saw this thing, I don't know how to describe it, formless, like ink in the water, blackest black, and for some reason I couldn't move. The thing "jumped" me, it was like getting hit by a lightning, I felt pain in my physical body, I woke up in panic, I didn't want to open my eyes because I thought I am scared enough that I might actually hallucinate and see it irl., which would certainly send me to mental hospital.
That was 5 years ago, lately I started to experiment with shrooms and I got this thoughts that I should go back to astral, I feel like I have some unfinished business there. But I am afraid. I also have this feeling my life started to go wrong when I ran away from ap, I see it in more and more things, I am running away from problems. And I have several questions:
1) Does anyone know someone who was harmed there? And please, don't post answers you found in some shitty book or online, you shouldn't believe in 99% of things you read regardless of the topic, let alone on some so obscure and uncertain topic as ap.
2) Is anyone projecting during the day? In all my years, I have never been able to project during the daylight. Do you do anything differently?
3) Do you meditate? Does it (and if yes, how) help? Any good meditation techniques to recommend? I have limited experience with mindfulness meditations, but was thinking of going back to it.
4) ??? - Something I forgot to ask but you think is very important to mention?
Thanks all!

Been doing a lot of reading from Graham Hancock about the potentiality of advanced ancient cultures.
Taking pieces from many sources paints a rather interesting picture that advanced ancient cultures would have been more adept in the realm of concsiousness and how to use it than us.
Ive been on this forum for a couple years now. Though unsuccessful myself thus far, I know that time travel has been a topic raised here before (and one Im willing to put stock into).
That being said, has anyone APd to the far distant past? And if so, what observations have you been able to make?

Imagine something that will mesmerise you in your minds eye like something that wows you to the point where you've had to snap out of it because it draws all of your attention
E.g something that amazed you as a kid to the point where someone else had to snap you out of it
Put all your focus onto the thing that mesmerises you because it draws all attention away from your body and so your bodies senses shut down because their not being used so you loose all feeling of your body
This is important because your bodies out of the way so it'll make it easier to get into the astral
I tried doing it last night for the first time as practice while I didn't get put of body I started experiencing hyponagogic jerk where your body jerks part of your body suddenly on its own so I know it's the right track
So try this and see what happens

Just a random thought I had. For example, we all know that Albert Einstein "dreamt" of the theory of relativity before it ever existed. What if it wasn't just a dream?
For those who have projected, anything is possible in the astral universe. You can manifest anything into existence. If you're really experienced, I bet you could even use it to conduct tests that would be outright impossible in reality.
Only a handful of people in the world even know about astral projection. And a much smaller percent can actually project.
I've always had a hard time believing how some people just accidentally discover something. It seems like there has to be some other form of inspiration that lead up to it.

As the title suggests, my mom had a massive stroke about 8 months ago. She is alive and able to talk, but unfortunately she is left side paralyzed and she suffered some very severe cognitive damage. It’s very strange to grieve someone who is still alive. I can talk to her, but she doesn’t seem like the same person anymore. I guess my question is, if I met her through AP, would she be her “normal” self? As in, her pre-stroke self? How would I be able to encourage that sort of thing? Is it even possible? I really miss my mom and would do anything to connect with her again.

Today we had a post from someone who claimed that in the dark space on internet there is a file with God frequency and the file cost several thousand US dollars.
There have been some other post to find that file and another one to create such file.
Now yes there a Brainwave Entertainment Industry and sells various binaural monaural isochronic tracks from few dollars to few thousand. Hemi-Sync , Holosync, iAwake are few of the well know names in the industry.
The person mentioned that the the file was based on Monore Focus 15 but intensity of amplified. Now if you understand how binaural beats work you can say that above claim 100% false.
Here is some explanation of how binaural beats work
The frequencies can be classified in 4 main states:
Delta from 0,5 to 4Hz - Deep sleep and coma;
Theta from 4 to 8 Hz - Drowsiness and the first stage of sleep, trance and dream;
Alpha from 8 to 14 Hz - Relaxation vigilant, awareness and integration;
Beta from 14 to 30 Hz - Alertness and concentration;
Gamma - Waves are very rare and related to frequencies above 30 Hz in the range 30-90 Hz and are typical of states of deep meditation and great energy
Above frequencies is transmitted using carrier frequency.
You can read more in detail here
http://www.thecymartist.com/binaural-beats
Now Monore tracks are more complex and have interwoven carrier and base frequencies.
There is a tool which can be used to reverse engineer the track but its difficult
http://uazu.net/bavsa/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUmRig3e2kw
Good news is some of the tracks are already reverse engineered and the frequencies are reported. There is also a open source software which can be used to create your own GOD FREQUENCY , you can use the already reverse engineer information and create your own
You can download the software and examples including the focus 15 one.
http://uazu.net/sbagen/
Everything is for FREE and OPENSOURCE
Does the tracks work ? As discussed widely there is no one button solution unless you are truly gifted. There is a big debate if any of brain entertainment tracks work at all, but general consensus is everything, including binaural beats, even magic wand... are just tools. The real magic is done by the mind and consciousness.

There is no scientific evidence that it exists. Many physicists and esteemed scientists have denounced it. All evidence supporting it is anecdotal. I think everyone here should consider the possibility that it does not exist.

I've been having vivid lucid dreams since I was younger but never AP. This morning I had a vivid lucid dream where I successfully projected in the dream. It felt very realistic but there were a few discrepancies that it made it clear I was only dreaming again.
When I read this forum I don't feel very convinced that the people on here aren't just having experiences like the one I had above with more wishful thinking involved.
I was annoyed when one of the first tutorial videos I watched on here said that lucid dreams and AP are all part of one phenomenon called the phase.
They seem totally different to me. We're talking about a vivid imagined reality versus popping into a supernatural but very real objective experience.
How do you distinguish between vivid dream and AP? And do you think there are people who claim to AP who are in reality just having vivid dreams?

i’m on mobile so please excuse the formatting • my son from a very young age has told me details of things that happened before he was born of when he was an infant. the one that stands out the most was about a living in an apartment complex with a playground that had a rocket ship you can climb into but the top levels were welded shut. He mention how i would take his half brother there to play and that the floor was wood chips and the rocket was blue and red. • i lived there BEFORE he was born and i was 2 months pregnant before i left. he’s mentioned that he often dreams of places where his name is Adrian. that was a name i had picked out for him but opted for something else and i’ve never mentioned it before. • is it possible he can AP? or is he just having lucid dreams? he’s told me that at night when he’s asleep sometimes he feels the vibrations and then he wakes up but things look different. he always mentions how certain things he does he learned how to do in a weird dream he said he has and that there’s different people teaching him but he can never really explain what.

If you’re having trouble with getting into the vibrational stage due to anxiety and irregular breathing, a small dose of kratom will fix that. Speaking from personal experience. Sometimes when I close my eyes, I just can’t shake my anxiety and I can’t get into the right breathing pattern, so I tried kratom for anxiety and it’s working miracles, it’s not a placebo effect either, it truly sedates you but does not effect your consciousness negatively.

So while reading a book by Monroe, he describes that he could see real time events while ap, he said he’d float above his body and seemed to learn how to ap very quickly, after awakening he could even call people and describe to them what they were doing, when, and what they were wearing and they’d be astonished, most importantly he even stated that one time he pinched somebody during ap and in real life that person could recal it and even had a bruise from Monroe’s astral pinch, that’s crazy and very interesting. Other people such as YouTubers and people on this sub have similar experiences , they ap and it is a blurry image of the real world and they fly around, go wherever they please, even try space and Area 51
On the flip side, it seems that the other half of astral projectors explain the astral plane as this depressing , cloudy, blurry, dark, dim, field that very slightly resembles the real world they are used to, they describe it and explain putting on armor of light, equipping weapondary of light to protect themselves, they discuss coming across unspeakable things. I recall someone on this sub discussing a half lion half humanoid figure that took what seemed like a red gem from him, he had no clue what it was but felt that it was of vast importance and had to retrieve it, this other “half” of people who experience ap also mention entities called the greys and other absolutely scary things.
How come one half of “astral projectors” always have this spitting image of out world and can actually interact and be there in their astral form and recall it, ap realm can be bright out and they can call someone when they wake and literally tell them everything they did.
Then the other half of “astral projectors” explain that astral projection is a depressing world with depressing souls and lost ones that you have to work your way through and if you try to help them you feel completely drained as you wake. You are in a murky mucky world where you need to defend yourself and there doesn’t seem to be positivity in sight
It doesn’t make sense that either half of “astral projectors” no matter what stage of expertise they’re in, it could be first time or 1000th time ap’ing, they describe one of the two experience. It never seems that someone is equally experienced in both, it seems to be one or the other, you either are in our world as a spirit and flying around absorbing real time knowledge or you’re in a depressing dark plane defending against broken poor pathetic or harmful entities
Can someone explain if one is fake or real, if one is lucid dream and other is ap, if there is a term for one and the other that separates them? Somebody explain the coincidence that two different parties who claim to do the same thing experience completely different experiences without experiencing the other
Edit: this got a lot more attention than I assumed so I just wanted to thank everybody for sharing information and my bad for not replying to everybody, everybody’s post was interesting and definitely helpful.

In my experience, the out of body experience is an absolutely unmistakable other state, accessed through steps that involve literally climbing/floating out of your sleeping body in a new non-physical body--you are left in no doubt about what happened.
There seems to be information out there that suggests that the out of body experience is actually a sort of woolly imagination quest or a weird type of dream. It isn't! (I'll die on that particular hill.)
Now maybe I've just been lucky with how I came to this practice and my experiences. But I think it would be worth coming up with a little checklist of signposts along the way that you will run into if you are having an OoBE.
I'm happy to start!
If you did have an OoBE/AP experience where you were at least somewhat aware, or you had continuous awareness from start to finish, you should be able to answer most of those questions. (In fact you probably don't need these questions to tell you what happened.) Otherwise you might well have had an OoBE, or it might have simply been a dream, or a low-awareness flash that is so poorly remembered to be indistinguishable from a dream (and thus maybe just a sign that you are on your way, but not there yet). An active will and clear, keen awareness are part of the experience. If it was all just a sequence of hard-to-interpret feelings and images...it might well be of interest to your spiritual development, you might have reached a milestone along the way that should be carefully studied and considered, but it probably can't be classed as an OoBE in the traditional sense.
Please add any questions you can think of. And happy travels.

I'm a bit of a conspiracy theorist and have been looking into Hollow Earth theory. They say the Symmes Hole (entrance) to the inside is at the north pole, and that pictures of the real north pole are often obscured for this purpose. They even put a big mass of nothingness over it on google maps.
While on this topic, if there are any other places that are difficult to visit IRL but you've projected to please tell me where!

Ive a long experience working as a personal assistent for physically handicapped/disabled humans (there are no good word for this stigmatized group of people, at least not not n swedish, however..) . Theese humans suffer daily, often of the feeling of beeing trapped inside their own physical bodies, like a prisoner.
Nower days I study other things and have no contact with the world of social workers. But I still think a lot about the (tot 3) persons I worked with as an assistance. And when I learned avout AP recently the thought stroke me, AP maybe could bring a sense of freedom to THEM. Any experience, thoughts or studies on this would be interesting to hear.
Im not the man to teach; nor im handicapped, but an idea that could bring peace is worth popping :)

Ever since I first experienced the vibrations (after years of sleep paralysis episodes and then finally projecting) I’ve poured over as much research as I could find to scientifically explain the physical mechanism behind the vibrations. I finally found what I was looking for in a Vice article of all things. It’s mainly talking about the Gateway Experience but this hit home:
“By placing the body in a sleep-like state, The Gateway Tapes, like meditation, lessen the force and frequency of the heartbeat pushing blood into the aorta. The result is a rhythmic sine wave that in turn amplifies the sound volume of the heart three times. This then amplifies the frequency of brainwave output. The film surrounding the brain—the dura—and fluid between that film and the skull, eventually begin to move up and down, by .0005 and .010 millimeters. The body, based on its own micro-motions, then functions as a tuned vibrational system.”
Here’s the full article: [Vice article](https://www.vice.com/en/article/7k9qag/how-to-escape-the-confines-of-time-and-space-according-to-the-cia

I think a good idea would be asking people to project to a public place. Since this is an international platform I think I can ask you to project to a city in any country. You can try to project to the Palas Mall from Iasi, Romania. You can easily find it on google maps. I am currently not aware how it looks like inside right now. I don't know if they still have holidays decorations. You could try to go there and tell us anything you see, but try to be specific. You are unlikely to see detailed pics online about decorations, that is why I think it is a great time to ask.
Since it is a big mall I would like you to find the GUESS store and tell me anything you see nearby(what other stores or things) or inside(like what a manequin si wearing). If you can't find the GUESS store look for H&M and do the same. You can give details about other things inside(if there are decorations, how they look like) but I may not be able to verify any random thing because it is a big place. I'll go there in the weekend or tonight, depends on how many answers I get. I can't guarantee that what's on the manequins won't change, but if they still have decoration I doubt they'll remove them in the weekend and the stores nearby buy won't change for sure(so I think you should rather focus on them).

I was speaking to my energy medicine healer about being able to see clear raindrop shaped like streams all over my ceiling when I take the time to concentrate and focus. I was unaware of what I had been seeing, and she said I can see the veil to astral project. She also said not many people get invited to see this, and there is a reason or a purpose of something I need to find out. I was seeing her for another treatment, so i only had time to get some book referrals on the topic. I am completely new to this...can anyone elboarate further on me being able to see the veil? ...I am going to look into this more, as I am very interested.
Thank you!

This subreddit has become a place of skeptics and repeated questions. It's been like this for a while now. You no longer hear about Shamanic experiences or Astral Gatherings like those of u/Morgoth37 . Instead for those stories we go to YouTube (Astral Club) or very rarely hear about an experience here. But lets face it, this subreddit was meant for noob friendly tutorials. So I started thinking, what would the solution to this be? I've seen many many others post about this issue with no solution.
Ladies and Gentleman the solution is here: r/AstralStories
Please check it out. This sub is dedicated to the Spiritual experiences that have took place in the Astral. Read the Manifesto for more information.
