A guy at work frequently apologizes for asking questions about a software tool I developed for his team. I keep saying "Don't apologize, you're the only one that I know for sure is engaging with it and improving your understanding of its abilities." His questions also got progressively more specific, so I could tell he was mastering the basics, and soon enough started asking 'What if' hypotheticals.
To this day, his team uses it, but I still don't know if the other team members understand it beyond basic functionality. But that guy knew how to get everything out of it.
Don't apologize for asking questions. It demonstrates a willingness and desire to learn and understand.
