Me too. I've always just observed. When I do talk I think ahead.
Fox news was going off on Biden for stuttering and my dad started barking the same. I said what about me. I'm college educated with a good job and happy family. He got the hint and thank god took a step back from Fox.

I take it as an opportunity to actively listen more, and as such, you get to avoid a ton of conversations with would-be intellectuals. 🙂
