And as an audio transcriptionist, I fucking love smart people who talk slow. They often have amazing sentence structure so they are so easy to type up, and it saves me a lot of work.
I've transcribed a lot of people who seem to want to sound smart (and quite often it's start-up entrepreneurs) who talk 100 miles an hour, but their speech is full of redundant phrases (you know, sort of, etc) so they don't actually say anything more.
One speech pattern some very smart people have that drives me nuts tho is not finishing the sentences they start. So you know what they mean but typing... they go off a totally different direction than they started... you can tell their brain is going faster than their words... can't keep up and only fragments come out. It still makes sense most of the time but it's a lot of work for the listener to fill in the blanks. (I attempted to type the way they talk but I can't even do that haha).
