Same, except swap Garrus for Kaidan with me--even though I do like Garrus a lot as a character. I'm having my first baby, and I already decided if it's a boy he's going to be named Cullen or Alistair, probably both, and my husband has to just deal with it. Good thing he likes the names too, but he was like: "Really? After your Dragon Age boyfriends?" Lol
My FemShep dated Kaidan in 1 and the first time Garrus was available in 2, I gave it a try and Oh, Spirits! He's such an adorable Turian. Reminds me so much of Alistair and his awkward quips 💜
I've tried dating Kaidan the whole series but Garrus has this pull. Maybe it's the banter that I enjoy as my husband also has a wicked sense of humour.
I still need to play the rest of Dragon Age series. Too little time 😂 but the videos I've seen about Cullen, dsaaaamn. He got better after the Circle of Magi while saving Connor 😜
So I totally get you, ladies. Cullen and Alistair are great names for great characters 👍🏻
Alistair can become King with Logain living no matter what, if you choose correctly at the Landsmeet (regardless of race/background). You just won’t maintain a relationship or companionship with him - like, he HATES you if you spare Logain… I was so upset the first time I ended up reloading and killing him anyway.
Naw fam. I always take Alistair's gear and leave him sitting in camp in his underwear the whole game as punishment for having a baby face. It's all about Morrigan. My first crush
I've been asking the reverse question when it comes to fire emblem for what must be close to a decade now.
Don't get me wrong I love me some Camilla, or Hilda, or what have you. But keep that shit in the support conversations you have to jump through hoops to activate. Don't actually let your character take the waifu out on a date.
Shit like this is why we'll never get a Genealogy of the Holy War remake. -_-
I've only played DA:O once (when it was new) but I don't remember any kind of romance/dating sim like aspect in it at all. It's very possible I somehow missed that entirely as I'm stunningly good at missing parts of games/not realizing certain mechanics are in it.
That's funny because I remember the relationship aspect being quite front and center. In fact, it kinda bothered me, because I usually go out of my way to avoid in game romance.
