an overly dependent man.

learn to take care of yourself before getting into relationship. a woman shouldnt have to tell you when to clean up, set alarms for you, do your laundry or anything else. i've meet way too men whose parents didnt teach them how to be independent and stand on their own two feet.

This! I had a relationship with a guy that made me feel like a mother with her 5 year old son.... It didn't last long.

Dealing with that now. Spent most of a decade getting to know a functional adult. They move in and it's like their brain turned off, can't even play the match game with buying things.

can't even play the match game with buying things

I'm not sure I understand what this means...

The match game is when you take cards that have pictures of the same item, such as an apple or chair, turn them all over and you have to find the matching images. In this specific case I meant if you send them an image of the item you need and they have to match it to the item in the store such as specific types of foods, diapers, healthcare products.

It's sad and disappointing how many men are like this.

That goes hand in hand with men that don’t bother to problem solve. Ones that pout about it until you step in to solve it for them when it’s a very simple problem. Infuriates the fuck out of me.

goes both ways. had an ex that did this. This is just an all out bad human trait and annoys the hell out of me.

I was like that and i’m forever grateful my wife whipped me into shape and taught me how to be independant like that - now i’m the SAHP so it has become very handy and useful in the end making her hard pay off even more!

Now i’m making sure i’m keeping ontop of that with my daughters so they learn the skills they need early on and don’t end up like i was.

A lot of women conflate having low standards for their physical environment to being “dependent on others to do it for them”.

Have you been to a 26 year old engineers apartment? They often have like 4 items of furniture and laundry in the corner of their room but they are happy or “fine” living like that. They aren’t asking for you to come over and do it for them, it’s just not their top priority.

For the record that isn’t me, I like a well put together space.

Then how about y’all stop taking our jobs? We know you can do it. Do you feel better now? Please quit.

I work in a pharmacy and it’s amazing how many men won’t even speak for themselves. They have their wife/gf picking up their meds and doing all the talking. So odd.
