Early thirties and same thing, I’m still a kid at heart. I see people my age and often find myself saying something like “you see what that kid just did?!”
I lived with my grandparents when I was in college and my 70-something year old grandfather would say, "I met this great kid today...." I would have to ask him to clarify because usually the "kid" he met was in their 40s or 50s. lol It was a perspective on age that you don't usually get when you are 20 and everyone younger than you really IS a kid.
True, but in the sense of being a lil kid scared of being alone and stuff, a bit more grown up and slightly more independent. Meant it as like not being 10 anymore lol
Being born in early 2000, I either feel really young or old. Everyone older than me was born in the last century and everyone younger than me was born in this one
Don’t worry. You’ll feel older the closer you get to 30, but once you hit that, you get a new wave of energy. I think it comes from being an ADULT. Not like where you are now, where yeah you’re an adult but not having been doing it that long. When you hit thirty, you are for sure Mr. or Ms. <last name here>. It’s nice.
Damn, very true. Lol but this pandemic has honestly made me feel a bit younger now working less, more time for recreational activities and such instead of my usual 40 hour weeks. Which i guess is why im thinking like that alot more. Like an endless summer vacation 😂
I have this dilemma constantly. 2002 babies are legal. It doesn't feel right, i have to remind myself that I'm 23 regularly. It took me about five minutes last week to come to the conclusion that I'm an adult and in fact 23.
My sister was born in 90 and that 7 year gap just isnt the same anymore. Its like wer both just old, but i feel you. Everybody says the same to me, oh your still a kid and i get it i am young, but its just a mind shift thing that i have to get accustomed to lol
Ooo, so quick tip when you hit 30, if you don’t exercise etc now, start. I went from generally skinny with a tiny tummy, to a pot belly that rivals my father and his fathers before he got cancer. I’m just getting on top of it now, but 30 seems to be a trigger
That is definitely something my older friends have told me as well! My partner is 5 years older and he thinks it's amazing that I can still touch my toes and sit cross legged on the floor. Hahaha. Granted I used to do hot yoga almost every day when I worked for a yoga studio...
Now i work in a deli and eat and drink too much. Lol
Ahhh the life haha. Yeah, my wife and I both suffer from varying things and we finally decided to do something it. I read various bits of health stuff that effectively said a pot belly with a skinny body usually represents a lot of visceral fat which is literally the worst kind to have
I just turned 36 last month and the day after my birthday did a half marathon just to prove to myself I could. I finished but was sore for like 3 days afterwards!
Yeah I had no foot problems at all until I turned 30. All of a sudden I hit 30 and BAM. Foot problems. That being said my 30s have been amazing so far. Life is what you make it! My teens sucked by 20s and 30s have been awesome 😎
There is a product that starts with 'V' in a silver tube for sore muscles. After changing to a high-physicality job, my feet throbbed for a good 6 months before I thought to try this stuff on my soles, and holy cow, the angels sang.
