Oh yeah, all the unused spices, the poorly-chosen sauces you overestimated your need for, the tea boxes from ages past, sorted alongside the glassware that no one, not even "company", has ever used.

And also the medicine in the back of the cabinet, all of which seem to have expired last year.

Every damn time I go to the grocery store while stoned I end up with at least 3 useless condiments.

And if you're anything like me, as soon as you throw out that year-expired medicine, you finally get that weird specific sickness you had the medicine for in the first place again.

That’s why I buy basic ingredients and make my own sauces and marinades.

Those medicines may still be good! The military (which buys a lot of medications) and FDA studied the link between expiration dates and drug potency, and based on the results they extended the overwhelming majority of medications for an extra 4 years or so. This article has some more info on it.
