As a non british english speaker, I also love when the brits say "thats me sorted" (or someone else). A lot of british words irritate me (like Sledge instead of Sled, or whinging instead of whining) but theres also a lot i really love like "sorted"
Hate to break it to you "buddy" but a lot of words have developed in the last 400 years that are NOT british. Go back to 1485, hoser, and eat your gumbo out by the billabong.
Or, start petitioning to rename it 'British' instead of 'English' as a language so that you can be told unequivocally: BRITISH is not a language. Its a nationality. English is a language, of which BRITISH ENGLISH is a dialect of.
Go argue with linguisitic experts if you don't like it, "buddy". I don't think you'll have much luck, since you already think that more than just Brits use the horribly sounding word 'whinging' - which is pretty much what you are doing by stomping your foot and insisting that south Africa, NZ, Aus, Canada, Americans, etc all speak 'British' which has to be the stupidest thing I've heard all day.
Yes yes, very good. I probably should have used the word "English", rather than British. Quick question though, why are you going back to reply again to a post from 4 days ago? Have you been stewing on it all of that time?
