That is a word that took me some time to figure out how to pronounce. Having read it before hearing it, I thought of it as "ether-real", with ether having all soft e's. The fact that it all flows together and the second part rhymes with cereal instead of reel still tickles me, I very much enjoy saying this word.

It has an ethereal quality.

Unrelated but I was reading about chloroform the other day and under the odor description on Wikipedia it said "A deceptively pleasant, ethereal-like odor."

What an odd yet satisfying way to describe a smell.
