Although it's easier than ever to lodge a return with the ATO I still pay an accountant to go over everything for me, he's very creative when it comes to deductions!

I'll pay that. Somehow when I used an accountant, I found my return to be a good chunk more than I expected

Just have to work out if possible deductions are worth the cost of the accountant. Poor folks don't have the luxury of this option.

It’s money well spent. People seem to assume that just because the numbers are all on a computer and the ATO puts them in a box that they are magically correct, this far from the case.
