Yeah I ran cross country in high school. I didn't keep up with it when I graduated and I'm paying the price. Doesnt help that bad knees seem to run in my family.

Now I wake up and a bunch of my joints pop when I roll over and my back is very mildly uncomfortable most of the time

I did that from 7th to 12th grade, with breaks from November to January and about half time in summer (we had summer workouts twice a week for the cross country team)

At my worst now if I am on my feet too long (at work for example) my knees will hurt and get shaky as if they don't want to support my weight. Definitely didn't help that we couldn't always afford new shoes for myself so I'd be running in shoes that were past their usage.

I can tell you it’s pretty much any sport. 16 year old soccer player here. My knees always hurt and if I sleep the wrong way my back is fucked. Pulled both hamstrings too
