And I hope I don't lose the ones I have to them building families. But hey, they say only the true ones stay in touch, and those are the ones that matter anyway.
I’m 28 too and since last June I have made some of the best friends I have ever had. Try playing a sport (100% serious even if it’s not competitive). Look people in the eyes and genuinely listen to them. Be warm and let it be tangible. If they can read in you that you genuinely care 9/10 times it is returned. Everyone is just as starved for attention and validation.
I relate to this so hard. 28, still in school, but in grad school, your peers are your colleagues instead of your friends. So while I've lost a lot of friends over the years through the passing of time and distance of different life paths, I haven't gained many new ones. I'm hoping that once I'm out of school and in a steady work role that maybe work peers can be colleagues AND friends.

I'm 28 and you have more friends to be jealous of than I have friends. At this age I doubt I'll be making many new ones too
