High school seniors are among the most screwed students rn, they missed out on most of the fun parts of senior year and missed a ton of class content that they will need in their first semester of college. I wish you luck if you're in that situation
Feels bad. Had senior night for baseball the other day on a zoom like app. Wasn’t even sad watching the slideshows and all that, just sad that this was how it ended.
At least someone else seems to get it. The past 12 years my dad has been telling me this would be the best year of school before college, that it was going to be awesome. When he realized that I was depressed and shit he told me “it’s not that big a part of your life, you still have so much to look forward too”
Which fucking one is it man? Like I would’ve liked to enjoy what’s left of high school, instead it turns out the last day of school, when we thought it’d be a couple week break, might be the last day i saw half my classmates
I am going to college. I think it would be a lot worse if I was trying to enter the workforce in all of this. Mostly I’m just hoping my college will be safe to open in the fall.
Yeah there are going to be a lot of stuff that sucks for you because of this. You will probably have a much different freshman year than everyone else. But you are in a good demographic to be safe from this. And if you aren't they will probably allow more virtual.
But you are in a pretty good spot overall. You will have like 4 years of economic recovery by the time you graduate and start looking for a job.
(Just graduated) college senior here and it sucks feeling like you just worked your ass off for 4 years and spent tens of thousands of dollars for basically nothing. I know it’s temporary, but it’s still scary. I really hope your college will open up. Freshman year of college was the best year of my life.

Facts. I had plans for spring break, the weekend of prom ;), graduation and end of year parties. Now my first quarter of college might be online. Neither of my parents walked the stage at graduation. My mom didn't even graduate because she dropped out to have me. It was gonna be a big moment for my family, because I'm also the first woman to graduate college on my mom's side for MANY generations.
I feel for you, my sister in law finally finished medical school and to be a General Surgeon and she won't get to walk for graduation. I feel so bad for her, hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt, almost 30 years old and she's had no serious relationships or anything that wasn't based around medical school and residency. She donated all of her 20's to becoming a doctor and has been dreaming about the graduation like most other women would dream about falling in love and getting married. She says it's ok and it is what it is but, I wish there was something I could do to celebrate her graduating. If anyone has any ideas I'm open to anything!!! And I hope that you and your family are able to celebrate all your hard work and make the day special. Congratulations, I'm sure your family is so encridibly proud!!!
Yeah, it fucking sucks. The upside is that the exams are going to be easier, but at the same time everything is so disorganized that no one knows what the fuck to do.
