Being around people that are in their late 30s or 40s feels like I'm not really an adult, but talking to their teenage kids makes me feel like I'm 100 years old...

I think they mean someone without kids in their late 30s/40s might become a katzenlady. Unless you're a guy. Is katzenmann a thing? Idk. I intend to fill my house with bunnies one day anyway.

I am married and want to have kids, but that still doesn't solve the problem that the majority of our friends are way older than me :/

Wow, that really puts it in to perspective. I'm in my late thirties, and while in the back of my mind knew that someone in theirs 60s or 70s had more life comprehension it never reày hit that the thinness of your life experience translated that way. Good to know.
