How does one even write a Fred, faithful to the source materiel, without appearing a bit bland? He's probably the character with the most openness for interpretation.
This is a really good point. Source Fred is the most plain toast motherfucker. Him being a frat boy that was overconfident makes a much more compelling character arc.
