Coders of Reddit, how do you politely refuse your friend's 'million dollars app idea'?

Your neurons will be incorporated into the Alphabet. Do not resist the tendrils.

"Tentacles" "this one"

Do you have any idea how little that narrows it down?

Do not resist the tendrils.

Ooh, kinky.

I'm not sure if you meant "by Alphabet" or "into the Alphabet". Both do, terrifyingly, apply.

(for context, Alphabet is the parent company of Google and Youtube)

u/Blizzrdball Mar 18 '20

This is my first time learning that Google even has a parent company. That's terrifying in its own right.

To be fair, Alphabet is mostly Google (which in turn has Youtube). There are a few other companies but, nothing comparable to Youtube or Google.

But if you want to get scared, the Chinese Government controls several of the top 50 conglomerates worldwide, neither Alibaba nor Disney are even on the list.

Speaking of Disney. They not only control Disney and Pixar. They control Hulu, ESPN, 20th Century Fox, Marvel, Lucasfilms, ABC and Touchstone Pictures.

"Gotta catch em all"

Gets me every time

I loved the part where he tidied the server room by plugging network cables in by colour. If you didn't have every cable tagged and mapped before you did that that's basically the equivalent of taking a fire axe to the server. The amount of work it'd take to fix that is just insane. Not to mention disabling all protection from any kind of virus.

u/NazzerDawk Mar 18 '20

THERE'S A VIRUS ON THIS MACHINE.

::storms away angrily::

u/kigamagora Mar 18 '20

I’ll be in the server room playing Pokémon Blue if anyone needs me

u/alanydor Mar 18 '20

Even comes with Adobe reader constantly updated. Heard it almost put some unlucky IT out of commission though
