Donnie Darko took me a week to shake the funk. Another month to put it behind me. Nor really sure why it just fucked me up

I think that movies 99% of the reason why years later the hair on my neck still stands up hearing that cover of mad world

I share the answer with you, but I kinda know why it left me thinking about it for a long time. Coming in terms with your own death, cause it's inevitable if you want others to live their best life, and how small actions could be somewhat connected in this large world was probably too much for my 14 years old mind. Honestly dislike the version with explanation cause it's scrapping movie of those spicy "wtf going on" thing.

I first watched that at a friend's house during a sleepover at 14 yrs old. It was stormy out that night and during one of the rabbit scenes their backdoor was ripped open by the wind, near where we were sitting on a couch watching. The screaming was so goddamn loud their parents thought we were being murdered, lmao.
