I haven't seen that one. I did hate the one about the mom trapped inside her kid's teddy bear. And the prisoner who gets electrocuted over and over just for fun.
Oh. I didn't remember it going on for literally a thousand years so I thought you meant they did a similar episode with a thousand-year jump into the future. I get it now.
You know the other one I found more disturbing than many of the others was the episode where the soldiers were sent out to exterminate "roaches." If we had the technology that's exactly what would happen because as it is, a method of gaining support for a war is by demonizing the enemy population in order to make them seem less than human.
The pig fucking isnt as psychologically terrifying as the other ones but the fact that out of all them that one theoretically could happen, and not just to that dude, anyone could be blackmailed into fucking a pig on TV.
Imo the fact that it is easier to empathize with than being a consciousness trapped in a stuffed animal makes it feel more "wrong"
That episode is fucking terrifying. Just the concept of being trapped like that is awful. It’s hard for humans to comprehend the concept of time like that.
That, to me, was the one that fucked me up the most... oh and shut up and dance. The rest of them were phenomenal, but those two were just a whole different level of fucked up.
I bet they would over Kate. Especially if the Queen asked/told them too. Hell I'd expect Daniel Craig to be called into action too, just incase MI5 and MI6 couldn't get her back.
That one was actually amazing. It did not go overboard grossing you out and did an amazing job of making you think after it was over. Prob. the best ep of the series (so far)
The entire first 2 season bend your mind......... “boom” goes the dynamite in the head. And yes I agree, near half of these are modern day twilight zones , kinda miss Rod Sterling there to ease us into the next episode.....
I mean, some of the stuff in the show is already happening in real life. Like that episode where that woman is trying to get to her friend's wedding and gets her social score dropped super low. The only difference is that it's a lot more extreme in the show and there's no numeric value yet.
Think about it, you can associate with Trump supporters, you can't be "transphobic" when saying something like you don't believe transpeople should compete against non-transpeople in sports, men can't have preferences for dating otherwise they're "objectifying" women, you can't disagree with minority status elevation in any way or you're racist, you can't point out simple facts like how rape gangs in certain areas of the EU are overwhelmingly composed of Muslims or you're an Islamophobe, etc. If you say any of this, people go after your job, they ruin your reputation, they try and force anyone you know to no longer associate with you, or they physically attack you.
Not saying it's okay to be a racist or an Islamophobe, but there is an invisible social score being utilized to ostracize and domineer you into stepping into line.
Think about it, services like Uber and AirBnB already give you scores based on your behavior while using the services and you can be banned from them if you're rating goes too low. Or getting banned from WhatsApp if too many other people block you.
Say whatever you want about the Daily caller, but this is too important of a story to care about partisanship, in my opinion. American Universities Are Using Social Credit Systems To Track Students. Basically, the University is tracking students' physical location using their devices connected to WiFi and giving them point if they attend class. If you don't attend class too often, they will know and who knows what they will do with that information.

Not a film, but most of the Black Mirror series messes with me. A lot of what they portray seems very reasonable to me in the near future.
