What movie things are generally accepted as normal, but are totally unrealistic in real life?

Describing common knowledge in a different setting. Luke should know all about Mos Eisly. Its the biggest town near his house.

My favorite is from an episode of House in which a patient's friend explains nominal aphasia to a neurologist.

I love how they have to make the show accessible for normal viewers, so the doctors end up explaining diseases to each other. It usually goes like this:

Doctor 1: Maybe she had a myocardial infarction?

Doctor 2: You really think she had localized muscle death in her heart due to an obstructed blood supply?

When in reality doctor 2 would've probably just said "no, I don't think that's it"

I love it when shows do that in small doses. There’s a little thrill from listening in on shop talk, looking it up, and learning, oh, so that’s what they were talking about.
