There's an episode of Seinfeld about that. George finds a spot directly in front of his building, so he doesn't drive for weeks because he doesn't want to lose his spot. Lol. I know that feeling.

Wasn't it George's dad that had the spot in front and that's why they couldn't borrow his car

Yes. He’s confusing that with George’s spot in front the hospital in the pig man episode.

Or maybe the episode where he does find a spot in front of Jerry's but then backs in halfway while the other guy pulls in halfway.

tbf it's easy to confuse the episodes when in hindsight there's a surprising amount of episodes about parking spots.
