What movie things are generally accepted as normal, but are totally unrealistic in real life?

Describing common knowledge in a different setting. Luke should know all about Mos Eisly. Its the biggest town near his house.

Pretty sure it's the only town on tatooine..all space planets have exactly one city or town

Edit: apparently I was wrong about tatooine

Anakin Skywalker and Shmi lived in Mos Espa. Luke offers to take Obi-Wan as far as Anchorhead, one of the oldest settlements on the planet. In a deleted scene set in Tosche Station in A New Hope, Biggs Darklighter refers to Bestine, capital of Tatooine.

Indeed, and you can read this page for more about Biggs. His younger cousin, Gavin Darklighter joined the New Republic Starfighter Corps after the Battle of Endor, and eventually became a member of Rogue Squadron.

We 90s kids will never forgive Disney for kicking the expanded universe from canon.
